Tapestry fabric?

You know the fabric that looks like old fashion tapestry, what is it really called??? I'd like to find some with dogs on it. I know someone who makes purses and they would make good raffle items for the rescues to raise money with. Anyone have a good source for this fabric?

Jill, that's a good idea. When I made the handbags for the church craft sale, the ones with dogs or cats sold the best- out of 7 sold, six were the critter handbags. One lady bought 2 with dogs. Don't know if it's just this area or what but it's a good idea to test out your area. Mine were quilted- made with cotton fabrics. The larger totes with animals seemed what they really snatched up quickly. And folks really liked pockets- both inside and outside.
