Pratice, practice, practice, are the first three words you will hear from all MF owners. Yahoo groups has a group especially made up of those who own this frame.
There are several other groups for the different frames and you can get tips and advice from all of them.
You will have a learning curve, but a fun time learning everything. The first thing I will tell you is get use to the idea of using a size
16, 18 or 20 needle. Anything smaller flexes too much and will snap. You'll hear about such things as eyelashes, tension, timing, etc. Don't let this frighten you. You are a babe in the woods right now but within 6 months of playing and learning you will be an old hand at machine quilting.
Your book of instructions should tell you about the length and width of each leader. I bought ticking for my leaders or you can use lite canvass.
I bought a couple DVDs from a Mindy Casperson of Angel Threads. They are inexpensive compared to others out there but will show you all the tricks of machine quilting. I am not affiliated with the company just a satified customer.
Have fun learning and don't give up. Its like driving a car.
Oh one other thing there is a juki group under Yahoo also. They machine quilt and will answer all your questions about the machine Go through the archives first, of these various groups, because it will contain possibly the answers you seek.
And most of all have fun. Congrats on your new toy.
