The house and truck

I know that you are all wondering what is going on with us and that house. Well IT AIN'T A GONNA HAPPEN. The man had told us that there had been a meth lab in it and we never thought anything about it. I was listening to Fox News (I think it was last Sat morn.) and they started talking about motel rooms being used for meth labs, needless to say it caught my ear. I found out that those chemicals permiate (sp) everything and if it isn't cleaned properly it will harm and could kill. You would not believe the crap they use in those labs.

It really makes me mad that we could have moved into a house that could have harmed or killed my grandbabies and anyone else that came into that house AND THEY DIDN'T WARN US.

We could have it tested to see if the chemicals remain in the walls, but why should we foot the cost. So would you all please pray that we find another one quickly. We really need one in the country I want a place for a garden and a place for my grandbabies and furbabies to run and play. DH loves to do things mechanical and do woodworking and so do I just different avenues. He builds, I paint. I miss working on my woodart.

Truck is back in the shop for the fourth time since the breakdown in Sept. That is right it is still not up and running, Praying we will be able to pay for this trip in fact I am praying they will eat the whole cost because we believe that this is all this shops fault.

I will keep you all posted. Sorry I waited so long for an update, but it took so long for that guy to get back from Co and to get a hold of him then we found this out about the house. Then I was to upset to even talk about. Even though it was in town I really liked that house.

Kathy, I am so sorry this has happened to you but am also really glad that you found out before you moved in. I have watched programs about decontaminating a meth house and it isn't an easy or cheap process.

You know when one things fails it is normally because the Lord has something bigger and better for you. Will keep you and DH in my prayers for health, happiness, house and truck.

Keep your chin up, sounds like you are already doing that.

Jacquel>I know that you are all wondering what is going on with us and that

So sorry, Kathy. But also so glad that you found out now and not after moving in. The right place will come up for you at the right time. We've been struggling for 4 years but when we finally quit trying to do it our way and let God do it His way, things worked out.

piggybacking here. That is really rotten Kathy. There are some pretty clear disclosure rules here. Lots of papers to sign. If he hadn't made the disclosure formally he might be liable for the clean up anyway but what a nightmare. Hope the right place comes along soon. Taria

Oh no!!! I am so sorry it didn't work out. I think the guy was very rude, knowing you wanted the property, to not contact you in some way before now. Hugs and prayers you get into something wonderful soon!

Jacqueline, to tell you the truth I really believe that the Lord kept the truck broke down so we COULDN'T move into the house. I guess we will know for sure after DH gets the truck back and how much it will cost us this time. For those of you praying for a house, please make sure you specify country house with outbuildings. Oh and one that has NEVER had a meth lab it any of it.

Jacquel> Kathy, I am so sorry this has happened to you but am also really glad

Specifications duly noted and winging their way heavenward! I know how much happier I'd be if I were in a home where my neighbors (save one) were quite a bit further away than they are now. At least out of earshot would be nice. ;-)

Oh Kathy, I'm so sorry things are still rough for you. I know I was beginning to think we could never find a country home we could afford, but after months of looking this one just appeared, we looked, fell in love, and thankfully were ready and in a position to make an offer. I think we had someone watching over us. I was beginning to think I was stuck where we are now, forever. Don't know why I was complaining, at least it is our own home, double corner lot, beautiful mountain view, etc... It's just an old house and no matter how much we fix it, it will always be too small and not practical for anything. Hopefully, your luck will change too. Soon!

Keeping you in my prayers.

Kathy, I agree...I do believe things happen for a reason and in this case the awful issue with the truck saved you from an even worse situation later on. When you *do* find your house, it will be just the one. You're in my prayers.
