Everytime I look at a picture of that quilt I notices something new. It is gorgeous. Looks like it is a bom program. I bet with the book and our stash we could do it a for a lot less the $24 x 24 months cost but I guess the structure is kind of good for some folks. I have a mess of blue fabrics in the stash but none like the beautiful stuff Tutu used. That looks to be a great quilt shop. Just how great of a place is Texas to live in with all your great quilt shops? Taria
Oh my goodness, that is just such a magnificent quilt - and - I hope you stayed with the site to the end and enjoyed the joke. It's a keeper. Polly

Thank you, Ragmop. It is always a treat to have another view of that gorgeous DJ quilt. I think Tutu made a DJ in brown tones also. Is that right?
PAT in VA/USA
Yes.
After I had finished the blue one, my *beloved* husband said, "da Gama make brown indigos as well, don't you think it would like nice in brown?" So I made one in brown and when I had finished he said "I think I prefer the blue."
We are still married.
ROFLOL! After a comment like his, it's a miracle that he's still alive, let alone still married to you. ;)
NOW I want to make a Dear Jane quilt! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous image.

Howdy!
Stitch> I love Tutu's quilt and think of it every time Dear Jane is mentioned.
Tutu: At the MAQF in February, I saw some red indigo. I will not tell your DH though!

Wow that is awesome!

4.5".
The word on the street is that anyone who makes a DJ is probably certifiable.
Hmm....conjuring with the idea of "red indigo."
For those not familiar with the fabric, it's made by daGama in South Africa. Technically, "acid discharge prints." The most well-known is indigo (blue) but they also have brown and the aforementioned red.
Nann who has owned the Dear Jane book--twice; and sold it--twice
YEs, it does exist.
Yes, my husband has suggested such an endeavour.
BUT - and this is my excuse - said "acid discharge prints" in red caused problems with the health and safety regulations. So different red prints are currently virtually impossible to get.
And Nann - can I offer you a gently used copy .......
LOL! Well, I'm a definite candidate already. I am collecting 1.5" squares for a postage stamp quilt......
Thanks for the dimensions, Tutu!
Best regards, Michelle in Nv
