I know there are some people on here who like to know when the UK Mother's Day is. For 2010 it is 14th March. This also reminds me that I need to get my act together and find a gift for DM & DMIL.

Mark mentioned this the other day, and I couldn't figure out what he was talking about, since my parents are both gone. Then he pointed out that I will qualify for Mother's Day this year. What an odd thought. I think Tristan will send Mark to the shops yet. He may be an active, bright baby, but he still doesn't have pocket money or his own wheels.

Giggle. I took YEARS to get used to being an official Mum!
I'm sure that Tristan will persuade Mark to take him shopping. It's amazing what these little ones can do!
Enjoy your first Mother's Day.

Some people interpret it as a day to celebrate mothers, not just a day for a child to give a gift or card to the mother, I know plenty of men who buy their wives gifts on mothers day and the first year it's a special one, but there is no pretence it's from the child, just a gift from husband to wife in honour of their mothering, maybe that is what Mark meant? Funnily enough the guy I recall who really makes a big deal of this is also called Mark!
