Update on house crap

Well, I had one contractor here this afternoon and he will be working up an estimate for sheetrocking the entire garage - walls and ceilings

- which will allow the 2nd story to pass final inspection (once I add the smoke detectors and the proper outlet). I also had him to look at the bathroom because we may have to remove some of the sheetrock and flooring so that they can take a look at the "illegal" bathroom.

With luck, I will have another contractor out on Monday - the contractor that was in charge of the roofing job - and then I will send the estimates on to the attorney. SO that's where we stand now.

Other than that, the kids are going bonkers, DH made it safely to MS, after a brief trip down "let's get lost"-ville....took exit *before* the Va/TN border instead of *after* it - quickly corrected, family will increase by 1 sometime SUnday night, I have strained my right wrist, which makes life interesting as I am right-handed, and I have some tops cut out and all over the sewing table, which need to be finished or packed up before DNiece gets here

Definitely *NOT* a boring weekend

Thanks! It helps knowing I have a cheering section going :-) This was

*not* the best time for all this to happen (DH OOT getting DN for the summer, trying to get ready for vacation with ALL 3 kiddos, etc, etc.) but I'm trying to handle it - as DH says - the way only *I* know how...lol. By that he means I : rant, scream, vent and grumble, then I get down to business and research *everything* get it into chronological order, and pull *anything* that might help - previous lawsuits, etc (I like doing research...always have!). In the end, it may come to naught, but at least I wi ll have doen what I could, as would DH...and my cheering section :-)

Not only that, it will be ON Record so that if you ever sell the house the next owners will KNOW that all has been rectified according to the local rules and regulations. We sure were glad we had everything inspected while we were adding on (even if he did tease me about mending things for him. I hope we get him again for the fence which will start on Monday YAY!......) Make copies of ALL the "OK'S" that you get from the inspectors and make sure you can READ their siggys....if you can't then PRINT their names under with your initials next to it. BTDT and it helped.
