vendor dispute and claim!

I am a very patient person! In March, I was notified that I had won another $10 gift certificate from the Feb fabshophop...Cherished Pieces is a store which I have dealt with often in the past and had a rapport with the owner, Cynthia. I also had won a certificate to the same store last Nov - the item never arrived during the Christmas season but a replacement was sent several weeks later. This last time, the order was placed Mar29 but no paypal request sent - I emailed Cynthia about the problem but received no response twice during the month of April (second time I had also contacted fabshophop regarding the problem and they sent a copy of my email to Cynthia)....a couple of days later, she did respond to say that she had had computer problems (OK!) and on May 2, the paypal request was received......I paid as usual.....as of now - the package has not been received and there is no response from Cynthia. Yesterday, I filed a dispute with paypal for non-receipt of items and non-response from the vendor...the payment was applied to my credit card account ... waiting and hoping!! While this was on my mind, I neglected to take advantage of another $10 gift certificate that I won from another store in the April hop - darn, I like this store too! barnyowl

Howdy!

Where is this place? Their website is a little simple and plain, and I don't see their physical address anywhere, or mention of where they are. When shopping online I hold out for a location (town/state/country) before I do business with them; just a weird little priority that has (so far) not failed me. Even tho' they have credentials on the home page, "member of ..." whatever, who are they? where are they?

Girlfriend, they done you wrong. 3 strikes: out!

I won a $10 gift certificate in the first Fab shop-hop; thankyouverymuch. ...Well, let's see, $10 - that's gas to get to a not-so-local shop or postage & handling, and, really, it wasn't worth it. So, I didn't bother to play again. I have my fave shops; they have their sales.

Better luck, Sweetheart.

Hi Sandy, I've had dealings with this shop and owner for several years without problems of any kind - she was the only Canadian supplier of the templates that I was wanting for my circular techniques. I was subscribed to her monthly random fat quarter collection for a while and she often included something special with my order. I've often thought that her website needed 'sorting out' but put that down to her busy schedule (full-time job, quilt shop and shows, etc.). Gift certificates won by Canadians in the fabshophop are awarded by the Canadian participants for obvious reasons - $10 is often the cost of a metre of fabric so the only charge involved is postage (approx $3). I've won more than my fair share of certificates over the years and have enjoyed supporting the Canadian side of the hop. barnyowl
