VERY, VERY OT We don't have to peel potatoes- never again!

I've long since given up on folding sheets, fitted or otherwise. All of the matching linens get stuffed, folded or not, into one of the pillowcases. Okay, so I'm never going to be named World's Greatest Housekeeper. I'll live. ;-)

Not u-tube, but illustrated how-to fold a fitted sheet:

I usually wash the sheets and put them right back on the bed, so I don't have to fold them :)

Julia,

Thank you, my mother didn't have to lay her's down, but hey I bet she taught Martha how to do it and Martha just had to lay her's down. LOL Thanks again and I, too often put the sheets back on the bed after washing so I don't have to fold them, but I have 3 sets of King size sheets waiting to be folded in my laundry room. I'd do better at washing and folding clothes if my washer and dryer were on the main floor and I didn't have to go up and down the steps to do it. Since I fell down those steps in Dec. '05 I have been scared of them and I hate to go up and down them.

It is actually easy. I have been folding king sheets for years. Fitted line up the seams from the elasticized part of the sheet on two opposite ends. tuck the bottom of one cupped end into the other end. Do both ends separately. You are standing with your arms spread out with two ends cupped inside each other. For this part it doesn't matter which way you fold. take one hand and line up all four cupped ends together on one hand. hold it up in front of you and you will see how much to fold inside. Then just fold it in a square. All done. It sounds more complicated than it is. This works with any size fitted sheet. Just remember that you are stacking cups and there will always be four cups when you are done. Clear as mud? Email me and I will try to be clearer.

I had to try this too. It works on microwaved potatoes just as well as boiled ones. What a hoot.
