Weather - OT

Well this is just ridiculous. The only 2 reasons to live in this part of the country are Spring & Fall. If I wanted to be miserable year round I'd live down south or at the North Pole. (No offense, any body)

We are supposed to get snow tonight. It's sleeting right now. I should have had my A/C turned on a month ago.

Maybe I can skate on my swimming pool.

Where are you, Cindy? One of my brothers just got to Casa Grande (AZ) from Minnesota. He met a blizzard in Denver, another in Albuquerque, and yet another in Flagstaff! Here in Tucson the weather has turned cool, too, down to 40-something last night and I bet the thermometer didn't hit 80 degrees today. I had my cooler up and running a week ago, thank goodness, because the temps then were in the 90s--this morning I had to turn on the furnace for an hour so I could take a shower. Go figure!

Weather--you gotta love it, because there isn't a darn thing you can do about it except move. LOL

I blame global warming ;-0

In my part of the country, NJ, folks were actually WHINING all December about the "unnatural warmth". On one news channel some woman bemoaned the fact that her kids might 'never see' a snowman.

Right.

T'other day, danged if the snow wasn't falling!

I'm SOOOO looking forward to warmer weather. I should have had my heat turned off a month ago

Its just crazy as we have unbelievable warm/hot weather here for the time of year.Up to 70 degrees .Its getting that I would love it to rain( maybe overnight!) So feeling for all you people that have to wait a little longer for spring! I guess its global warming that we will all have to address sooner rather than later!

We got that storm mid-week, Taria! We had brief period of fierce rain (and we really need still *more* water!), but the winds were unbelievable. A scaffold was blown over on a building under construction, and some workers were hurt pretty badly. I was trying to run some errands and just gave up and came home to hide.

We have snow in the forcast too, right up through the middle of next week. Matter of fact nothing that looks like seasonal temperatures are forcast until next weekend.

Between starts and live plants my upstairs is starting to look like a conservatory. I'm going to be spending this evening potting up the strawberry plants that DD bought and that were delivered yesterday. It is going to be May before I can even think about planting some of them at this rate.

My spring bulbs keep popping up, blooming, and then getting snowed under.

Got the wind with a 10% chance of rain. Left the 'work tables' outside....woke up to the sound of pouring rain in the middle of the night hitting the skylight. One of the table tops (el cheapo) just curled right up. Lost a few 'shingles' from the shed..we just weren't quite ready to replace the shed...... At least we know the skylights don't leak.

Kansas, Carolyn and I'm used to crazy weather, but this is just stupid. It has never snowed here this late. I remember getting some sleet in Wichita around the first of April one time, but not here in the SE part. Think Ozarks weather and that's us. I should be in shorts by now running the AC at full blast.

Yuck.
