A near solid black or indigo blue would set off most batik nicely. Not having had much experience with batik, I am eager to read others' replies. There is a batik New York Beauty in my future. Pat, an original NY Beauty now in Virginia
LOL! Actually, I must confess I've had this "affliction" since I began quilting. I think it was due to my childhood fascination with the crazy quilts and scrappy quilts made by my great grandmother. She made do with what she had after making clothes. No buying fabric for a quilt. That would have been wasteful. ;-)
