I'm thinking I'd enjoy playing with something different and have never wandered very far into the batik world. What do you think goes well with batik? Batiks have such life and motion that I'd guess they must be paired with a quiet contrast.Repro's? naaah. Inappropriate. Fairy Frost? no. Probably too, too much. 'Reads as solid'? maybe. A near solid black or indigo blue would set off most batik nicely. Not having had much experience with batik, I am eager to read others' replies. There is a batik New York Beauty in my future. Pat, an original NY Beauty now in Virginia

LOL! Actually, I must confess I've had this "affliction" since I began quilting. I think it was due to my childhood fascination with the crazy quilts and scrappy quilts made by my great grandmother. She made do with what she had after making clothes. No buying fabric for a quilt. That would have been wasteful. ;-)
