Why did I buy this?

I did not realize that some one had been to my house taking pictures. LOL I believe someone exaggerated that a little, I don't think anyone's house could be that bad and still have folks living in it. I have seen a house or two that had at least one room that bad though.

Yeah, it's about as funny as finding bodies in a house fire. And her depression/OCD is obviously contagious: the son who admits he's too lazy to get out or clean up is contributing to the disaster. Of course this kind of stuff *makes* the Style Network's show, Clean House, gives a steady job to Niecy and her team.

I suspect the fabric is not great quality. This is a top -- not quilted... I'll let you know when I get it what the quality of fabric is like....

Worse case scenario -- Samson gets a blanky! LOL

The link in KKs mailing is truly sad. We had this kind of thing with my sister - it was nothing to do with ebay - she bought things from anyone who advertised in the paper - and she stowed the unopened boxes away in her bedroom where no one was allowed to go. It wasn't discovered until she went into hospital for a minor procedure. In her case it was Pick's disease - a nasty kind of dementia that increasingly damages the front of the brain and leads to compulsive behaviour and ultimately complete disintegration. This poor woman's family should call the doctor quick.

There are also so many many sights that have more freebies than one can imagine. Embroidery machines are dangerous. fortunately I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for my machine. Because I was not sure if I would use it to its fullest potential I only got a very inexpensive Brothers SE270d machine. It does everything I would want in a machine so I am very happy with it. My sister and mother both have very expensive machines and wish that they knew then what they knew now. They both say they would have bought the machine that I purchased since they do not use the fancy embroidery or stitches that their high end machines can do so well. julia

I spent a great deal of time at both of these sites as well as Ann the Gran. All of them have great freebies and so many specials.

I have a Janome 9000, bought secondhand, it cannot do big things but it will take any 4 by 4.

I bought it to sew, I needed a machine, and now I'm addicted to the embroidery possibilties (sp?)

Mayby in the future I will buy a machine with a larger embroidery field, but till that time, this one will do:))

These are beautiful quilts. I bought a used Designer I machine last year, and one of my first projects was a baby quilt of flannel, which I pieced and quilted on the machine. It took me a while, but the project was a great way to learn how to use the machine. I quilted it with the same design you used, along with another smaller motif. The only problem I had was hooping the thick layers, wouldn't you know the Viking people came out with a "quilter's hoop" right after I completed the project.
