Wonderful quilts

Hi all,

Want to tell all of you Wow what beautiful quilts. You all have so much talent and it is a joy to see. My style is so free form. Have to admire your ability to piece so precisely. Your use of color and shading is wonderful. Having trouble expressing myself in written form. Have better verbal skills. The quilts that I make are for every day use. When a child has a quilt and drags it around with them and someone sleeps under a quilt that has been made by me is where my joy comes from. I've been working on 6 quilts for the children down the road from us that lost everything in a fire. The month has been busy and I'm now on the last 2. One needs to be birthed and one is in the construction stage. Can not wait to be done and deliver them.

Thank you for letting me ramble.

Well, Jane, I think YOUR work is wonderful! The family tree quilt is awesome. Your purses are all fun. I am especially interested in the fabric on one purse. It is the one with figures of women. Reminds me so much of a Florida artist, Suzy Toronto. Do you happen to have information about the maker of the fabric, or a source where it is available? Thanks Bunches!!

Pat It is The Legacy of Quilting by Suzy Toronto for Print Concepts. The place I bought it was in SD and they have no more.

Wow, I can't believe I was on target with the artist, considering I only have a few of her magnets. I gave a Suzy Toronto print to DIL and she loves it, as do I. I met her (Suzy) once, several years ago! She was talented and very friendly. Thanks for the info, I'll surf around and see what I find.

Before these photos were move from yahoo photos to Flick, I had made them publically viewable. I hope they still are?

I don't piece very precisely, and it is just random luck if my corners match very well. If someone takes me to task on it, though probably only another quilter would, I just tell them that is my artistic style.

I also have made quilts for ABC quilts, an outfit much like Linus quilts

and my hope is that they are carried around as a favorite blanky, and not "displayed." Brian Christiansen
