I just learned about wowio

which is supposedto be a place at which one can download free e-books. I see that theydo have a few quilting books in the "crafts" section, for example: Totally Tubular Quilts: A New Strip-Piecing Technique Variations on a Theme: Quilts with Easy Options Wheel of Mystery Quilts: Surprising Designs from a Classic Block

Has anyone used this service? If so, are there any caveats about joining?

They sure ask for a lot of information. The "price" is probably lots of advertising in emails. We'll see!

I just used an email address too. Then I made sure that none of the boxes were checks regarding my interests. I figured they would use that email address to give to third parties.

I downloaded three books the day I joined. One is a book I already own. I wanted to see whether I was truly downloading the entire book or an abridged version.

I'm glad you posted today. I'd kind of forgotten about it, and I have books in my download queue.
