Priceless pictures, Jan. Thanks for sharing. A dear trainee and a splendid palace. . In message , Jan writes
Oh, what a cutie!
What machine is she using?
And I love your quilting palace! :)

Thanks Kate! It's just a little Singer that is a cross between a toy and a real one. Sews a real stitch (big one), but the foot of the machine is so built up around the needle that she would have to be a real magician to get a finger caught in there. Also has a speed regulator.
Well, she's only a tiddler yet, and a crossover machine like that will do her fine until, as you say, she's a bit bigger and has better coordination. It'll give her a start, anyway! :)
I recently had a whole heap of fun that culminated in a sewing machine purchase for a pal in New Orleans with a granddaughter of 12 in need of a real sewing machine in East Anglia! I got to buy a very nice slightly used pre-loved Brother sewing machine on my birthday, for a lovely lass who has already completed several projects with it! :) It was delivered the next day, and great fun was had by all. :)
Hehehe! Lounger and a small DVD player or laptop... With the latest EQ on it so he can help you plan some more quilty projects, keep a catalogue of all your fabrics and stuff, and be on hand with one of these to retrieve the things you drop...
Oh I like the way you think! He often works odd hours since he does computer network stuff so we are both often up at odd hours putzing.
And lucky lucky you!! How much fun! DD has had her eye on my Disney embrodiery machine so I'll probably set that up for some play and then she can make some more stuff with it. But I mainly didn't want her to be discouraged or try to sneak down to the land of machines on her own. I figure the best bet is to encourage her at her own speed and teach her safety, then let her go. She's been begging for one of my machines for a good year now. That's my girl! ;-)
