5 x 5 book uploaded

I've uploaded the book I made for my friend to use with her first grandchild. Thanks to Gina for the title "The adventures of Cameron"! You can see the book here..

(i hope that link is the direct link!) It wound up being all SU products. LOL But I did have a lot of fun making it. For "the adventures of", I made my own rub on. It didn't work as well as I wanted it to, but I was happy with it once I had the whole book done. The quotes and the flower/heart are rub ons from SU. I'm not a big rub on lover, but I was really pleased with how well these worked. For somethign different I used a marker on the ribbon for the lines on the edges....that was FUN, actually! :-) The brad is a clear rhinestone brad, but it's hard to tell in the scan. All in all, I really had fun making it and I'm happy with it. She'll get it at the grandparents shower in May that I'm planning for her and her hubby.

That turned out really nice Deb. She's going to love it. I really look at the paper in the SU catalog. It all looks so nice. One day I'll dive in and get me some.

Thanks everyone. My friend Verna did love it. I gave it to her, quietly, at the mom's baby shower over the weekend. I gave it to her quietly, when it was the just the two of us because I didn't want to take away from her daughter's shower. Well, Verna had to get up and announce that we had the "first gift" already and show it off. Hopefully I'll be able to pull off the "grandparents" shower in May without her finding out!

If you've never seen it in person, you're missing out. The pictures in the catalog just don't do it justice I think. I like that it's double sided, but it's also thicker than you're usual paper. It's almost like cardstock thickness.
