Re: Photo uploaded

Those bracelets are going to make your daughters very happy! I like

> them both and that Clasmeyer toggle is perfect for the charm bracelet.

Now I have to mail them, as they didn't get in the stack of stuff my sister took back with her to the US! I figured I'd better get pics now before I send them off, heaven knows if I'd get pictures after they arrived...

Keep tweaking those pictures, you're almost there Su.

Thanks. I know it's important for when himself gets to the point where he feels he has beads to sell. It's been a long road lately, with him being off work for so long but we're hoping that he feels well enough to spend some time at the torch starting tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Thanks! We think we can do better with a bit more practice. It's the key factor in showing what sort of work we will have available once Mike's producing work for sale, so it's better to learn now before we have stuff for sale. Plus, I want a photographic journal of the things I make, just so I can look at what I've done over time.

There will be some of your beads up shortly. ;-D

Okey dokey. You'll have to argue with the girls over them but hey! You're used to dealing with clever and bright daughters....

She's a July baby. I used garnets because she prefers them. Fortunately she loves silver too, which means I can indulge her more than if she had a preference for gold.

Thank you so much! I'm still feeling my way after all these years but I'm finding out how much fun it is to do some designing. I hope to have even more improved pictures up shortly.

Thank you so much! I wanted it to be so special for her, it's not every day my oldest turns 30. I'm hoping for some better pics when the weather improves. Today was grey and drizzly and my youngest was sick on the bedroom floor this morning. Ahhh, parenthood!

We had a day off yesterday as my kidlet has a bad cold and upset stomach. I won't say how upset.... so I spent the day taking care of him. It was nasty and gloomy anyway, but today's going to be sunny and nice. We're hoping to try a grey background too, and see if it changes things. Thanks for the advice and the compliments!

Do you have a white setting on your camera? If you do you can adjust it even in dark days. Actually I prefer to take photos on cloudy days because you don't get shadows. They make softer photos as well.

Sure! I forgot to mention, the second bracelet is lovely and one I'd wrestle my own grandmother into the dirt for.

Don't be afraid to take pictures when it's overcast, either; I get my Very Best Shots when there's a heavy cloud cover. If it's actually raining I have to take them up on the porch though. When it's sunny I use a translucent white plastic wastebin as a diffuser. :)

I'm seriously thinking of building a simple pavilion to make it easier to take photos on sunny days.

LOL, I don't know your grandmother but does she know she's the 'gold standard' by which bead lust is measured? If it makes you feel any better I'd wrestle your grandmother into the dirt for your beads!

GMTA! We bought a white plastic wash basin which we used to take some of the pics in. Our neighbors thought it was pretty amusing that we were washing our beads outdoors.

Well, I'm in luck then! Being in northern England I won't need a pavilion, I'll just wait till tomorrow when it's suitably overcast.

Kalera, you fill my head with happy imagery, thank you for that. Bracelets on the heads of half naked singing girls, "baby pants" mother daughter dance and now wrestling in the dirt with grandma over a bracelet.
