An event with no good pics

I am scrapping family events in one of my books, but I have run into a problem with Easter. We had a get together at my mom's and I want to scrap it but I really don;t have any exceptionally good pictures. We don't have any kids of egg hunting age right now, so alot of the cuteness is gone. Does anyone have a suggestion as to a tack I could take on this.

As reporters say, I need an angle.

Thank you! Hugs, Rach

You could use it as a Family Togetherness Day....Hope that will help you some....I have in my book where they spent the day at the beach and the time that they were together.

I know this sounds crazy from one scrapbooker to another...but don't scrap it? I'm starting to not scrap every single holiday because all my holiday layouts are starting to look exactly the same. Just a thought.

How about journaling the day and then using Easter paper piecings, stickers or spring flowers in place of the pictures.

We took a trip to Colorado last October and forgot the camera. I know, silly me. I still want to scrap the weekend because of the event we attended, so I was going to find some stock photos of fall foliage and use a brochure that I picked up about the town and some info on the hotel we stayed in.

Hope this helps.

I'd say a nice sized journal box with the "reporters view" of what happened that day. Maybe I nice sized paper piecing of a bunny or eggs or both. Large title to help use up space, but I'd say some wonderful journaling would be really nice describing the day. Maybe printed on the computer, double matted to look real pretty.

I have to say I'm with Jenn on this one too. I'm getting to where if I don't have photos or a fun story to tell about the day then I don't scrap it. There is always more to scrap.

I had thought of not scrapping it, but it was the first time we met my son's new girlfriend and we all like her SO MUCH. She really made a hit with both families ...Besides...I have cute paper! LOL

I have one picture of the family eating I could use, and one of my mother's Easter basket. I MIGHT be able to do something with those. I'll post whatever I come up with. Thank you all for the suggestions!

I have used paper dolls and other embellishments on pages I had no pictures for.

I went to an incredible production earlier this year and no cameras were allowed. I used my ticket stubs, went online and found informaton about the show, the company and the history, found pictures of the main dancers there and printed all this off and it made a great LO with my accout of how wonderful it was. Pictures are not always needed.
