What a day we had yesterday! First to arrive Saturday was Linda C, who despite her loss took the time to come and visit with us. Next came Shannon. It's hard to explain how everyone just fits in and it really is like we've always known each other. I know that I'm usually shy with people, when I first meet them in a group, but non of that here! The hugs just went from cyber to real life, hardly missing a beat!
Linda C won the page contest and took away the loot bag. Everyone got to vote for the best page, that had followed the directions, except of course that they could not vote for their own pages. Afternoon came after a great breakfast and lunch and picture taking. Poor Craig (the owner) we made him take a group picture with 12 cameras, lol. Then we decided to put him out of his misery and just had him use three of the group outside
Through the week, I had been keeping a big secret, first from Deb, then from April and Tammy and Amanda and Lynne and finally with RJ, and Sandy and Amy and Linda and Katrina and Shannon. RJ had a premonition and nearly had me spill the beans, but Linda brought something with her to help me ensure that the secret would remain intact, well almost. Two people, RJ and April just figured it out. After lunch the massage therapist and the spa lady arrived and those of us that wanted to started having massages and pedicures and hmmmm the massage was so good. Oh... but I forget, you still don't know what the surprise was. Dave showed up! It was so hard not telling anyone especially Deb! But I knew how wonderful it would be for everyone if the secret was kept!
A bunch of the group then went to a closing LSS, but not closing in the ordinary sense. They have become so big online that they are closing down their physical store! They just don't want to bother restocking. So the deals were great and the goodies terrific and actual!
Later RJ showed us just how good she is with alcohol inks. What wonderful things she made. We all loved the pins she made for us, and the clipboards that Shaoon brought for each of us are truly terrific. I know I am leaving a bunch of stuff out, but I'm sure that eventually the other FLASSes that made it to the Barn will tell you more. Meanwhile, we were all wondering where Marilyn and Judy and others have dissapeared to. We miss our other RCS family members and hope that we'll soon hear from all of you.
Hmmm... did I mention how great the food is here and what a great time we are having? I should have!!!
