At the Barn - Friday Night May 4th, 2006

Well it's just past midnight and all is quiet at the Barn, except what sounds like wolves howling outside, or could that be the snorers on the floor above, no it's the cats that are on the prowl!!! LOL

Deb and I got here around 12:30 and started setting up shop. There are some great bargains at the Barn this weekend as basically I brought all my stock over and am selling it below cost... well not my TLC stuff!

Anyhow minutes after we finished, in come April, Amanda, Lynne and Tammy. Frankly I don't know about them, but I had a great time. All the ladies are exactly as they are on RCS and it wasn't long before we were talking up a storm, yet we were also comfortable enough to enjoy the silences when they happened. We had Turkey fajitas for dinner and cake too. Good food, good company and scrapping, what more could a person want?

We started exchanging pages and it was as I was putting Amanda, April, Deb, Lynne and Tammy's pages into my book that I realized what a truly special reminder of this weekend these pages will be. Each of them really represents the person who made them and all are as unique as their creator. How awesome is that!

Anyhow, I look forward to being joined by the others and am anxious to see how everyone will react to the special surprise they have in store. This surely is going to be a fun filled RCS Flass Fun Festival. For those of you who couldn't make it, we miss you and wish you could be here with us. All I can say is do start putting your pennies in a jar for the next one. Life sure is a wonderful thing, when you can get away from all your problems and just scrap with friends!

I'm so everyone is starting to arrive safely. I can not wait. I am sooooo excited. I'm also glad I started getting all of my supplies ready a couple of days ago. I still have to finish up tonight and put in my truck. My truck died the other day in town. So my DH is fixing it today. Have fun today and hope you get lots done. It's going to be a long day at work here for me.

I am planning on making it to the Barn after all! It wont be for the whole weekend like I originally planned, I am going to arrive very early in the morning and stay thru lunch with everyone. I talked to DH and asked him if he was okay with that, and he said yes. I only live a couple of hours away, and I thought it was a good compromise and Craig (the Barn guy) and MC have been really nice in understanding my situation. Hopefully it will be some good therapy for me too. Friendship and fun and scrapping is just what I need right now! Talk to you all later!!!

Sure wish you could have come Jacqui! Maybe the next one... I'm thinking to do a regional one in Orlando or Tampa sometime before next April. Of course anyone who is a regular RCS poster at the time will be welcome to join the Southeastern Meet. Maybe you all can come on down to FL then!
