Birthday Keeper Upper

Hi, Everyone.

I was thinking maybe our little ole group here should have a birthday keeper upper position. Would any one be interested in filling the spot? I e-mail M-C about it and she suggested that I bring it up. Any feedback would be great!!

That is a great idea, Tammy. We all like to give well-wishes for birthdays, but we don't always check the website so sometimes we miss someone's birthday. I like the idea, but I don't think I'm organized enough to do it. Heck, I forgot my mom's birthday one year, my brother's birthday this year, and my parent's anniversary last year!

I am the birthday keeper on another message board that I belong to (10 people total). All I do is have all members email me their address and date of birth. All members then make 1 birthday card and send it to me. In return when it is someones birthday I pick a card from the cards that were sent to me and I mail it to them on behalf of the group. When I get low on cards I post a message and everyone sends cards to me again. Is that what your looking for here. If so I will be willing to do that.

It's a good idea. I'm in and out too much to make a good keeper upper.

We have the info on the website. I've done my best, but Tammy and I were thinking that we should share the work a little. I am sure that we have the perfect person or persons here for this. It doesn't have to be just one, it can be two that way if one goes away or has computer problems the other can easily take over.

Just thinking out loud here!

Well, I like the idea. I'm just not responsible enough to take it on. I go into lurker mode sometimes and other times I just don't get over to check the ng for days at a time.

Count me in also. I'll make a birthday card just tell me where and when to send it. I'm easy going.

I like it too. Just my 2 cents... Maybe whoever wants to get a card for their birthday... make and send to the birthday keeper upper a handmade card with their name on the back so they didn't receive their own card from the group. Then just choose one and mail it to the birthday person from the RCS group. When you get low on cards send out a notice.
