And trust me, you don't have to do your pages like everyone else does their's. You have the freedom to be as unique as you want. If you are thirsting for knowledge of the basics and want to get some ideas of what all of the possibilities, I highly recommend subscribing to a scrapbooking magazine (I subscribe to Memory Makers) and/or watching DIY Scrapbooking on the DIY channel (if you have cable). I just had a look at some of your layouts. I really like the Good Morning Layout with the accordian title.

Unfortunatly I don't have the DIY channel. But to buy a magazine on a regular basis would certainly be a good idea.

Years ago I transfered my child's photo to a T-shirt using a paste that looked a lot like glue. You use a photo copy of a real picture. Placed it face down on the material and coated the paper with this paste. Once dry you rubbed all the paper away. It did OK.

Office Max now has printable fabric sheets. You use your computer to print your picture directly to the fabric sheet. The better ones are self adhesive -- peel & stick. I haven't tried these yet, but they look like you can make some cool craft projects.

This sounds like the paste they used in the book.

I think this wouldn't achieve the same result but it certainly would be a lot easier and not so messy.

The photo I wanted to use was a baby portrait taken at Sears. When I went to Kink-o's to get a color copy made for the project they wouldn't do it without written authorization. I had to go to sears to get permission and promise that I was not going to resell the copy, yada, yada, yada. This was back in the days before I had a photo quality printer. Life is so much simpler now! LOL!!
