bow tie spaghetti embellishment

I found this and thought what a neat idea and simple to make. They are bow tie spaghetti butterfly embellishments. I have to get bow ties now. They would even make great ornaments for around christmas or birthdays or anniversary's. Enough of me bragging about how much I love these here's the link

That is so cute. I don't have an embossing gun. I keep saying I need one. Those little butter flies look so elegant. Thanks so much for sharing. I just printed it off to keep.

THose are pretty! And simple enough I bet children would enjoy doing them. They would make some interesting fridge magnets I bet.

Hi Tabby

Sorry for jumping on a post without introducing myself.. but I just wanted to say - with clear embossing powder (at least with the ultra thick clear) - if you add drops of alcohol ink to it - you can create your own colored powders. I bought the huge jar of it and make my own and it works nicely.

Take care kitty

These are cool, but I'm guessing that it is alcohol inks, not just an ink pad. If someone tries it, please share your experience with us.

Do you have Pearl Ex powder? If so, mix a little Pearl Ex powder of your choice with some clear embossing powder and use it. It's a really pretty effect!

Those are cute butterflies. TFS! I have thought about using the pasta w/UTEE, UTEE FLEX., PEARL EX, LUMIERE, TWINKLING H2O paints. Kinda sealing them inside since pasta is fragile.

Ma loves BUTTERFLIES she actually had a CB handle as Madam Butterfly years ago.

I made a tile @ a FREE Make-N-Take @ my favorite LSS this was my 1st time using TWINKLING H20 paint pots.http://www.luminarteinc.com/ It was a butterfly stamp I used the STAZON ink to stamp on the tile then paint w/the TWINKLING H20 PAINTS using a water brush. I kept my pretty colored paper towel when I was done.LOL. You know I definately bought some of those colors that day. Mostly pink, purple, teal, but the way they are packaged you get a few other colors too, which I won't use right away but creativity sparks when you'd least expect it. I luv this paints because they are really shimmery, won't get SPILLED by my girlz. Keona has a habit of nudging her snouty under my arm especially when I'm eating so this way my arm goes flying outward to her, making the food fly too. She does this to DH alot.

I was going to make her a card using those mini canvas artist boards then hinge them together...the back would be like a shadow box. This is where I was thinking about putting these UTEE coated butterflies in. Using some ABC painted pasta too. All sides would be very colorful.

There was a class at a local stamp store called scrapbooking on canvas, showing how to collage lots of things on 1 canvas frame.
