Boy, it's been a while

Sorry I have been MIA lately...not that anyone would notice, I know I don't post much anymore. Things have just been really busy. First it was because our computer died....so we used part of our tax return and got a new one. Then things got busy. Victoria has started soccer....she has been waiting to for a while, I was finally able to get her in a group. They actually had their very 1st game this past Sat....of course I had no camera, and we were running late and did not have time to stop and get a disposable. It is ok, they have a game every Sat. for the next 4 Saturday's. I have joined the choir at church...something I have been meaning to for a while. The 4th grade is making an Opera this year....and practice is Mon - Thurs for the next several weeks after school...I have been helping since Victoria is one of the performers and writers. The school is having parenting classes at night starting this Thursday, I am provididng child care.

It makes me tired just reading it all, but it is nice to be busy.

The last time I scrapped was actually the Christmas Recipe Swap we did in the winter! I don't see scraping in the near future either. School is almost out though. We get out June 8, but have to go back Aug 8 ! Very short summer this year , so as to align our calendar with the high school districts calendar. Victoria has summer camp for a week, I will be a counselor. My sister wants us to come out and visit for a couple of weeks....and my SIL is throwing around the idea of us visiting her as well. I think I will blink and the summer will be over.....LOL. Anyway, just a note saying I haven't dropped off the end of the earth or anything.

Welcome back Azzy! We missed you! I completely understand about getting busy. A two month summer? That's really short! But I'm sure you'll make the best of it.

Welcome back Azzy! Sounds like Victoria is a very active little girl with a very devoted mom! I was tired for you too reading all you're doing! But I'll bet that you are loving it all!

We'll always be here when you can drop in, very glad to hear from you! Hugs, M-C

Welcome back!!! You sound very busy but happy :)

As far as circle journals, I know that Patty has been keeping track of who has what. I have none at the moment.

Azzy, I am so happy that you are going to sing!! As a matter of fact...I have four circle journals and the one talking about you telling of your dream to sing was very sweet. I have Andrea's,Barb's,Shaz's and Mindi's. I have just finished up on the last one...going to send them to the next in line. Lori Shay. Good to hear from you and now you take it easy, you soccer Mom,you!! LOL

Welcome back Azzy. I was wondering where you got off too. Glad you were able to get a new computer and rejoin us. Sounds like you have been one busy lady while you were away. Good luck to your daughter's team/

Azzy, congratulations on joining the crazy life. You sound like me a few months ago. Nick had Soccer and then had to change in the car to go to basketball. After that was over at one there was always some cub scout (Weebelo) activity to do. Not to mention the baby, and oh yeah Karate, and the practices that he had for the games. Where my son had time to actually do his homework and get straight A's this report card I will never know. Did you all know that they are doing Trig in 4th grade now. Nick asked me to help him with his homework and they were talking about proofs, and all that good stuff I did in 12th grade. We also only have a 2 month summer, but we are getting out in the later part of May and starting the very beginning of August.

By the way We would miss you!

P.S. I have no circle journals, and have not seen any in a great while.

Azzy, it's good to hear from you! If you're not scrapping I'm at least glad to hear that you're keeping busy. You'll blink and miss summer because that's just plain crazy for it to be so short. I thought it was bad that they start back here around the 15th of Aug. School does get out around the 25th of May though. Still way shorter than when I was going.

Good question about the cj's. They're just plain not moving out of the northeast, NJ & CT to be exact. I sure wish they would. I'm afraid the rest of them are going to get jammed up up there too.

You know I did the math a while back! When I went to school classes started at 8:15am, we had a 10 minute recess in the morning, 50 minutes for lunch and 10 minutes in the afternoon. Our last class finished at 4:15. School started September 15th or so and ended May 24th or thereabouts. We went to school just as many hours as the youngsters in Florida public schools do todat with their very short days! I wonder if that is better now for the parents the students or the teachers.

Great to see you Azzy! I've been wondering about you lately & here you are!:>)

Glad Victoria is finding lots to keep her busy. (and you too by the sounds of things) Hey, about the scrapbooking! Hard to scrap memories if you're not making them:>)

Enjoy it while it lasts, they grow up wayyy to fast:>)
