It's a boy!

No...not mine!!!! Some friends of ours had a baby a couple of months ago, and I'm just now getting around to finishing the baby paint can and card. Hey, the little guy's only 7 - 8 weeks old! DH is off with the dad this weekend, and has the digital camera, so unfortunately, I can't post a pic of the can right now. But I did scan the baby card. It's in the Misc. Layouts album.

It's a 6 x 6 card, and yes, even has an envelope. You would not believe how long it took me to figure out an envelope template for a 6 x 6 card. The envelope is made out of the same patterned paper that's on the bottom of the card. The safety pins are pinned to white grosgrain ribbon, but in the scan it looks like silver or grey.

On a side note...I've enjoyed my day with my kiddos, even with DH gone. DS has just finished cutting and glueing (Elmer's glue) down scrap cardstock to a piece of 12 x 12 lightweight cardstock. (Boy did he cut and glue! LOL) Earlier, he was stamping and chalking birds on white paper, while I was finishing the baby card. DD has made an "I miss you" sign for Daddy, and has just finished a picture for me. She cut out a bear from a baby wipe and wanted to glue it to the baby paint can. She's now working on some more pictures and going through my odd buttons. I love having creative kids!

Thanks Lynne. I was pleased with it. I had a 4 yr old sitting next to me trying his best to "help". It took me longer to figure out the silly envelope than to make the card. LOL Oh no, no GP babies! Kenda would be getting a phone call. LOL

:( I can't view it! It says there are no pictures to view! For some reason it never lets me view Deb's album.

Love your card Deb. Isn't it fun to craft with your kids. I remember doing craft projects with my daughter when she was your kids age. Lots of fun. Now we sit and scrap together.

I don't know why it won't let you see them...very frustrating.

Thanks Sandy. The safety pins are MM. It was one of those "this still needs something" moments, and the pins and ribbon just jumped out of the plastic tote and onto my workspace. :-)
