I have some but rarely use them. My friend however, loves hers and uses them all the time.

that is a question for DAVE...he is the fanatic in that area. He loves those things!!! He'll answer soon
or me! I love my coluzzles!!!! I have almost all of them! I use them for lettering mostly... but I"ve done some cute dolls with them and they are great for cards and borders, and shapes... oh don't get me started... They take a little getting used to... you have to "prepare" them or they don't work well... but once you have they are awesome and you can get a ton of alphabets (other brands other than coluzzle that work with the knife too!) and they fit in a TINY space!
Question from a newbie, how do you prepare the templates?
I dont know either maybe someone will explain it to us soon..
I think Ronni has mentioned this before and is talking about taking your coluzzle knife and using the back of the blade as you run it along the inside of the template. It takes off any little shavings of plastic you may not see but will affect the way your knife glides through when you are trying to cut out the shape. Does that make sense? You don't want to use the sharp part of the blade because it could nick your template and then it will mess up every time you use it.
perfect sense thanks Patti :o) I have trouble with colluzle due to the nicks so will try preparing the ones I haven't used yet and see how it goes.
exactly...
there's a trick for getting the nicks out, too, but I can't remember what it is right off hand. Maybe someone else is lurking can help out.
for the nicks I've used superglue (if I cut into the template badly and I can see there is a cut, I put a drop in and push against it till it holds... usually with the tip of a needle... then I take some really really fine sandpaper and sand it smooth, then run my knife through backwards to clean it out... and swear to go slower next time!)
