Linda,

The regular cricut like the one April has will be $74.88 at Joann's on Black Friday, and the cartridges will be $28.88 on Saturday after Black Friday.

So far, I've resisted the Cricut. :-) Mainly because I just don't have the space for it, plus the fact that I have the Big Shot. I just haven't seen the need for the Cricut yet. Notice that "yet" ladies! LOL

I avoid shopping on black Friday like the plague! I hate the crowds, no matter how good the sale is. You ladies go right ahead and shop, I'll stay home and cheer you on! LOL

My question is, for those of you that took advantage of these great cricut sales last year on Black Friday, would you say it'd be next to impossible to score one unless standing in line for hours for the store to open?? I'm assuming the stores that are doorbustering them will only have limited quantities. I have a baby and no babysitter, so while I really want one, getting up at 3:30am and hauling her out in the middle of the night in cold November to stand in line isn't so practical, especially if my odds of getting one are relatively low in the first place. As much as I want the Expression, my budget just can't swing that much. So, my plan is to hit JoAnn's for the small one.

Thanks for any advice on actually scoring one, Jinx

Have you used one yet. Once you do...you're doomed. :)

I wonder, can you get the same price between those hours on-line. That would be nice if you could.

As much as I shop online, I never even *thought* about that!!

Thanks! :-)) Jinx

I didn't think I needed one either because I had the sizzix and quickutz. I am so glad I got it. There are things that sizzix just can't do.

That cartridge price is awesome!! Should I put the cart before the horse and buy a cartridge before I get the machine? LOL I just can't manage it right now unless someone orders a couple of cakes from me this week! My trip to Arkansas was basically my birthday present. ( Not including the one I got AT the retreat!!! :-) Oh Well, they say patience is a virtue!

Deb..seriously...I wasnt going to even consider wanting or needing a Cricut until I used the one at the retreat. I also have Sizzix and Cuttlebug and still use them. After using it, the possiblities are endless..and there are so many cartriges to choose from that it will be hard to decide which ones to get. Like Shannon said..I am doomed...LOL

Depends on the area. When I went in and bought my first small cricut I was worried that they would go fast so I had my daughter who was shopping in a different town call me if she got one in her cart. She called me to say they were out, but the store I was at had an entire endcap full of them besides the ones on the shelf in the scrapbook area. If I were you I would take the ad to another store that carries them if they are out at Wal-Mart as most stores will price match in the same area.

--------------- Don't feel bad, I got a brand new Expression for $182.50 last year on ebay from Angel Scraps. If you are patient you can get one around the same price from ebay. Also when used with Bing cash back you can save even more.
