DH is a dream!

My DH loves me. I had an adhesive crisis last night while getting ready for stamp camp today. As in NO adhesive! I had glue dots, my X box Xyron, foam squares, Stampin' Dimensionals, and a vellum adhesive runner. No Tombow adhesive runners. No SU "SNAIL" adhesive runners. All I had to use with the cards for stamp camp was the stupid Herma Dotto that has always given me fits! So I quickly called DH, who was going to do a little shopping after work, to let him know that I had to go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby last night, which meant he couldn't dilly-dally around shopping. LOL

First off, DH went the LSS to check on adhesives there, but they didn't have anything he recognized or had seen me use. When he got home, and saw me limping (muscle aches in my left leg), he said he would go get whatever I needed if I would write it down for him. How sweet! He'd been working all day on computer problems. He had spent at least 2 hours after work going to various stores, and the mall, to get DS's last b-day present and a few other things I hadn't been able to find in my shopping in the morning. Then he comes home, I know he was tired, and willing to go get my adhesive that I needed, when it was my boo-boo for not checking on that earlier. How sweet and wonderful!

So DH headed to Michaels for me. I asked for a package of refill cutting blades for my Fiskars cutter, and a couple Tombow permanent adhesive refills. Showed him online what they looked like, wrote them down for him, and gave him the 40% off Michaels coupon to use with whichever was more expensive. (Thank you Kenda for the coupon!)

He came home with 5 Tombow adhesive refills...permanent like I asked for, and 2 packages of the Fiskars cutting blades. I shouldn't need cutting blades for a while, since I now have 4. LOL PLUS, he used the 40% off coupon on a Fiskars Ultra ShapeXpress Shape Cutter. On top of that, he bought me a new Xacto knife that came with 5 blades...2 classic blades, 1 general purpose blade (has a curve to it), 1 scoring blade, and 1 chisleing blade. To top that off, he picked up a package of 5 classic refill blades! I shouldn't need Xacto blades for a long time. LOL I asked him what my SU bank account owed our home bank account. He said "Nothing. I love you." and pointed to the other room. I peeked in there to find a Sizzix Boxed Brush alphabet set!!! OMG!!!!! I almost squealed. LOL

And to make him even dreamier, he's cooking today for stamp camp.

Fried Pasta with Raspberry Chipotle Salsa and Sour Cream Avocado & Tomato Salad with Cilantro Dressing Baked French Bread slices with butter, seasoning, and mozzerella French Onion Soup...from scratch, not that powdered boxed kind Deep Sea Chicken (chicken breasts stuffed with cod, black olives, mushrooms and seasonings) Stuffed Bell Peppers (stuffed with feta cheese, veggies, and grilled chicken) Veggie pouches in foil Pineapple Upside Down Cake Saskatoon Berry Iced Tea

The Saskatoon Berry tea bags came from Barb for Christmas. DH and I love flavored iced tea. So DH made some using 4 regular tea bags and 2 of the Saskatoon Berry tea bags. OH how YUMMY!!! Anyone coming over for lunch? LOL

Deb, your husband must have talked to my husband as i have been drooling over MM rub on letters but haven't bought them (part of the homeownership promise) and he bought them for me as "they were on clearance and I'm proud of you."

Our hubbys may not get our obsession but they are wonderful cheerleaders. Enjoy your camp.

I'm so jealous. My DH doesn't like me to spend any money on supplies. He thinks I have enough and that I don't need any more. I'm sure if we had a few extra thousand or two laying around weekly, he would care. But he would never to get me anything. He had to go in to Michaels a while back with us. Well, he didn't have to go in, but he knew that if he didn't I would buy more stuff. Anyway, he didn't even like being in there. I think he was shocked at how big it was and all of the stuff that is there.

Deb, I would definitely say your DH is a keeper!!!

Deb would your hubby sit down with mine and have a long chat? What a great hubby you have! Mine is very supportive of my scrapping, but I don't think he would every buy me anything like yours did. I've just recently convinced him that he can stop at the grocery store on the way home to pick something up I have forgotten!

Wow what a wonderful time you had! It sure is nice when our hubby's support our habits. Mine is very supportive and doesn't complain about what a spend.... BUT I have him over a barrel... he's a collector. He's glad when I spend money on me, so he won't feel bad about spending money on his many collections. hahaha I don't think he'd have a clue what to get me at a scrapbooking store though.
