Enabler Alert

Be on the lookout for bags of "Angeline's Fibers" They come in bags of one color or bags of 5. There are about 5 different kinds of multi colored bags. Also some or crinkled. This stuff looks like real thin Christmas tree tinsel. A lady from the Red Lead Shop in St. Louis gave a demo. First you can just put the stuff around the edge of card mount by attaching the tinsel with glue. Sort of gives it a mounted with fringed mulberry paper look.

Then she took a small amount and wrapped it in a folded piece of parchment paper and ironed it on a high heat setting. The stuff melts and you have a large puddle of it and you can put it around your card mount.

Or you can run the melted piece through a die cutter. Now that was cool looking. Don't throw the scrapes away!

Then she took a card mount and attached a piece of Heat and Bond iron on adhesive ( look for it in the sewing department) to the card mount. She clipped the scrap pieces and placed it top of the adhesive, placed it in the folded parchment and ironed it again, And it fused tight to the card mount,

Then she layered a stamp -rubber side up, fibers, and the card mount with the adhesive site on the fibers. Then she put them in the folded piece of parchment and ironed away. The stamped image appears in the fibers! to make the image really pop out she inked the stamp with a complimentary color before putting the fibers on top. The inking really made the image pop out!

She also took a card mount with adhesive and added the fibers, eyelash yarn, glitter, and embossing powder. She then ironed it inside the parchment paper. She had to do this twice as long to get the embossing powered to melt. Looked super cool!

Double Fold Enabler Alert! You've reminded me that I always want to do some sort of crafting that involves my iron, but I'm afraid to get it messed up and sticky as I need to iron real things like clothes and table clothes. hahaha So, I bought another iron today. The one I have had seen better days and is now the craft iron. I'll be looking for some Angeline's Fibers to break it in.

Must be careful not to over heat the fibers, they'll turn brown! LOL ask me how I know!

Well how nifty! Those techniques sound really fun. I'll have to look around here for the fibers. I wonder if you can only use these fibers for the techniques or if any fibers would work?
