Fiber Organisation

Just came across this as I was searching for something else and thought it may help others with their fiber storage solutions.

That is a great site.

I'm now spoiled with Dave's fiber flingers.

HAPPY NEW YEARS everyone.

Thanks Kate...it also links to a couple of getting organized sites that are also helpful.....LOL Just what we all need with the start of a new year just around the corner :o) Kenda has shared the picture of Dave's F.F.F's so they may be equally effective in Scotland but I also like the idea on the site where you organise by colour and link them on a key/book ring if you are going to classes/crops. Perhaps a trial run with both may be in order....ROFL

Happy New Year from Scotland, Marilyn

Your welcome Trish :o) I haven't tackled the wider ribbon but I have made a variation on Dave's F.F.F's and I am going to house them in a ring binder using the clear DMC Stitchbow Wallets

You can see at a glance what you have and I have a neat clear pouch that I had left over from beauty products that I could use if I just wanted to take a few to a class/crop. Take care, Marilyn

I do have a few pages of the DMC stitchbows& holders. & I did receive some of Dave's FFF's for Christmas, (which are a great idea BTW) But I have sooooooo many fibers here. I definatly have to go through them again!:>)

I love funky textures, so even in my knitting, crocheting , sewing , & other craft projects, I've gathered an abundance of bits!:>)(LOL)

(blushing - thanks for the FFF comments!)

Actually I see no competition. I love tose card ideas too if you have especially a bunch of different types and are a FIBER FLOOZY!!! I thought about the fff's as they fit in a small container, or drawer and if you happen to have more than one scrap of a fiber, I wanted to share them with everyone and hopefully over next year or so, everyone have enough where you could just fling the flying fiber thingy in the mail for a swaP with that duplicate scarp or with one you do not want anymore or like.

Thanks for the greta link Marilyn!

and I am going to do the ribbons now in the other 2. I have decided that I will put them in the DMC Stitchbow wallet if I need to transport them to class/crop (which I have never been to anyway) :o) Thank you so much for the great idea Dave and I think my mountboard version will transport for swaps easily too!!!!!
