Finally! Lindsay's First SB is scanned!

Well I am finally able to share the album. I hope that they will love it. Just for the heck of challenging myself I used only TLC papers (yes from my existing stash), but went to town on the embelishments. They range from K&Co to Wallmart, to Rob n Bob or is ot Bob and Rob. Anyhow, I tried to keep these pictures small at 72 dpi and saved at jpeg 4 setting, so they would load quickly. However, they may not be all that sharp. I'll try taking pictures of the album from the class and sharing that soon. Guess I also need to get on with the August Challenge. Is anyone else doing it?

The album is in my webshots account:

M-C, the album looks wonderful! You did a great job - your work really serves as a awesome recommendation for the TLC papers - love the combination of the soft greens and pinks and the simplicity! My favourite LO has to be the one with the sonar pictures - it must have been difficult to scrap that. well done - I'm sure she will love it :)

What a beautiful album M-C. Gives me some great ideas for a similar album I'm planning to do for a friend of mine. I just need to buy some paper. Believe it or not I just have one sheet patterned paper left after my last project.. Especially like the calender idea. It's a great way to inculde all the things the baby does. Susanne

This is a beautiful album, M-C. I love the combination of pink and green at the beginning of the album. (I haven't been brave enough to use this colour combination myself so far...) I also like the calendar pages.

Thank you for sharing. Klara

Love this album M-C :o) You have made a great job of all the pages but I particularly like the April pages...fab colours and I like the little corner punch you have used on you photo mounts. Is that an corner adorner or some other make? Very nice effect it gives the corners! TFS

Thanks Marilyn. It is a corner adorner. It makes it easy for my SIL to slip the pictures in when the month comes around. In many cases I put a contrasting color under the corners so they would show up nicely until the pictures are slipped in. Extra work, but I thought it looked more finished, LOL! I know, I'm a nut!

It's adorable. She will love it!

I finally thought of an idea for the August challenge. Now to plot it out.

M-C, Love the album, especially the way the pages blend together. It says something for keeping with the same brand of papers throughout the album. I've already sketched some of your LO's for future use. Have so many photos of the latest grandbaby to scrap and I love the look of your LO's. As soon as I get back from the 'big' school shopping trip to town, I'm going to select some paper and put together kits. Sandy

Thanks Lynne!

I'm still debating on what my dream trip would be if say Bill Gates came up to me and said M-C here is a million bucks. You must spend the first 200k on a 2 week vacation... hmmmm

Thanks Linda. 99.9% of the mats are for 4x6. I used different corner adorners to create the different effects. Since I often do sb for other people and without pictures the corner adorners were a great investment.

I love it, MC, and I'm sure Lindsays' parents will love it, too. I do like the look of the corner punches you used. I really do like the calendar pages, too. I'm definately going to have to scraplift that idea for DH's cousin's baby. Gotta get busy on that!

Thanks Deb. You still haven't gotten that special something Rick and I ordered for you? Hope it gets there soon!

Thanks, Klara. The expecting pages are straight out of a TLC kit. Made it easier for me to go outside my norm. The other interesting thing is the Merry Meri (sp?) pregnant figure. I had all that and the layout done before I got the picture of my SIL. Interestingly, she was wearing just the right green to match the LO, LOL!

One sheet of pattered paper? That is just aweful! You must go shopping immediately before you die of paperless criticalis. It is a condition known to be fatal to the Floozies and Flasses of RCS.

Thanks Judy. The one for her sister was done in a similar fashion. I used the same concept but tried for a different look.

No special something here. You wouldn't give me any hints, would you? :-)

I'm already on a paper hunt. Just couldn't find enough that I really liked at one shop yet. Online shopping isn't easy... As you see all the Floozies in here weren't able to infect me to buy too much of everything so now I am in this precarious situation. Probably not enough enabling in here ;)
