First LOs posted - Feb Challenge

Feb 23, 2005 25 Replies

Melissa from Seattle. Here's my first LO post and challenge. Will invite others from the NG. Thanks for the fun!

I chose Elizabeth Barrett Browning's "How Do I Love Thee?" I wasn't sure what qualified for an embellishment, so that's my "LOVE" sticker with the rhinestones and my 8.5 inch ribbon was cut into smaller pieces which I hand made ribbons out of. I'm a 2-page layout kinda girl. Thanks again!

Wow Melissa! Those are beautiful pages! I love the paper you used and it really is a very 'love'page! I must say I have been so impressed by al of the Feb. challenge pages that you all are doing!! This is such a talented bunch of scrappers! I get a daily inspiration just looking . Since I have been home, I have done 46 pages.....just had so many new photos that I was just bursting with creativity. LOL Thank you for sharing, Melissa.

Meilssa, That is such a pretty LO. I love the heart cutouts, the background paper, the bows....... Thanks for sharing. Sandy got to get to work...time is running out...

That's such a pretty layout Melissa, and a very fitting love poem. The patterned paper is perfect for your layout! Thanks for sharing.

Very pretty Melissa. Love the paper and colors. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

Great LO Melissa. I enjoyed seeing a Love LO that featured the love of a family. What a great poem to use.

I love your LO. I like the background paper you used. Very nice. I would have never guessed that was your first LO! Thanks for sharing.

Chrissy

Thank you everyone.

Trish, it's not my first LO, it's my first LO posted to the website. Sorry for the confusion. Have done 100 pages exactly since Jan. 1st. (OMG!!) Thanks everyone for sharing and being so complimentary. I've felt somewhat intimidated, everyone is so talented and sometimes I feel only so-so about my abilities. LOL, I guess we all do sometimes. We've got good scrapping days and "just okay" scrapping days. But, needless to say, doing a hundred pages in just the last two months, my pages are becoming more polished. I guess they ought to be seeing as my first photo scrapbook album was done 17 years ago! Again, thanks for the loving strokes... I love this group!

Oops, that's weird. First time I looked the last message in the string said it was Trish's but text was Chrissy's. Sorry for the name screwup! Good to know it does that via google groups access.

Melissa

Your pages are beautiful Melissa. I love the paper that you used.

How do I know if M-C got my LOs? I actually sent them twice but haven't heard from her here in the ng or by email. Do we usually expect a confirmation reply from her or no. First Challenge so I'm a newbie to that process. Thanks :)

M-C is very prompt with email, but she's been under the weather lately too. If I'm not sure my email is getting to someone I just post a new message to the newsgroup asking if they've gotten my emails.

Sorry Melissa, I did get your email and I'm in the process of revamping how I show the individual peeps challenge pages. Thanks Lynne for sticking up for me. I am usually faster at answering email. I am having problems with Yahoo not sending things to the proper folders which means that I sometimes miss things that end up with the 500 other spam emails I get everyday.

M-C, I see my terminology is catching on......ROFL

I'm all about learning new things... keeps these old bones going!

Looks great!! The poem is awesome and the embellishments. Great job.

I think you probably have a way to go to catch up to my bones...LOL The mind says 21 the body says something else....ROFL

My hip joints say they're 95, my hair says it's 55, but in my mind I'm 25. :D

Lynne

Thanks for letting me know how this goes. :) happy scrapping everyone.
