They had it at Michael's today which I thought was odd because the CK website is still taking *preorders* on it and the site says it's not coming out until October. I wonder if Michael's wasn't supposed to put it out yet?
Anyway, I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but if it's half as good as her first one, I'm sure I'll love it. I'll post a review once I have time to read it.

I'm sure there's no such luck that my Michaels would have it. They didn't even carry the first one. I still have a 50% of coupon so maybe I'll get over there before they close tonight.
Jenn, have you seen the special issue of SS that's called Scrapbook Shortcuts? It's good. It has sketch type lo's for several 8.5x11, 12x12,
8x8 and some specialty (tag etc) albums. I really like it.Katrina in KS
Yes, must do! It's *fabulous* of course. If you are a Sketches fan then you'll love this book. And yes, I did get it 50% off! Honestly, I was pretty shocked they had it since they seem like they are still running on 2002 inventory.
I was about to pick it up to browse through but got sidetracked when I spotted the BH book. That sounds very interesting. Especially the 8x8 sketches. For some reason I have trouble with anything less than 8.5x11. I think I'll pick it up now.
Oh, and thanks for replying. I surely thought that a thread on the new BH Sketches book would generate more discussion!

After the challenge a few months back using the sketch, I just might put this book on my wish list. I haven't had a chance to jump over to the Michaels here. Next time I do, I'll check and see if they have it here.
I have to admit that I had fun with that challenge too. I didn;t come across the book at the NLR Michael's, then again I forgot to look for it specifically. I for get to look at sketches, but they are a fantastic way to get out of a rut!

I got that magzine the other day. I love it. There are several layout I'm anxious to try.
I can not wait to get this book. I use her first one when ever I have a ton of pictures! I will be on the look out for it. (this I can add to my stash cause I know I will use it right away!)

I have heard of these BH sketch books, but have never seen one. Its a book of LO ideas, right? I will have to look for it next time i go in a craft store. I think I do get in a rut at times. .I AM trying to be good and stay away....but its so hard.. :-(

Oh I'm so jealous of your Michael's let alone the BH book! LOL I moved to Germany, LSS NADA, from Hampton Roads VA this year and it's like really bad withdrawl here. :D I sooooo miss the LSSs in HRVA.
I'm partial to finding all the stores online who WILL ship to APO boxes. It's my livelihood these days. I need to get this book... might have to email my friend in South Dakota to see if she can even get it there. She is in a good LSS limbo too!

Linda...you will find many of the Becky Higgins sketches here:
The sketches are definitly the foundation, but I really like to take ideas and see how the different scrappers modify her sketches. I don't copy the lo's but I'll often look for different elements like what backgrounds did they use with the different sketches, different titles, styles, etc. I find the whole book very helpful.
