ZAZ?

It seems after 3 years of pretty heavy use, my QK handtool is starting to wear out. I'm not so happy about this and do plan to call them on Monday. I'm not exactly sure what it is doing except that it won't cut all the way through the bottom half of the dies, no matter what alpha I use. It's been getting worse for a little while now. Unfortunately, the warranty is only for one year.

Anyway, I am considering getting the new QK Squeeze (with stiletto alpha) or those Zaz things. Has anyone used one? The zip e mates look pretty cool, but I crop mostly at my lss and need something more portable than that.

I did some googling and there was some buzz about it here once it first came out, but I couldn't get a firm grasp on what opinions were. Anyone care to share their experiences with personal die tools?

Also, has anyone who had the original blue QK handtool also use the Squeeze? What are the differences?

Jenn,

Here is a link to a pretty extensive survey we did a while back.

Frankly I bought a ZAZ a couple of weeks ago but I haven't even had a chance to open it yet. It it and the Zipe'Mate are as great as Dave says, I'll be selling off my sizzix, sidekick and QK handle. Just need the time to try them out!

Jenn,

Before I bought my Zipemate early last year, I tried the Sidekick whenit firstcame out. i broke it, got another one, hated it even more.

then I found the ZaZ at one of my local lss'. I liked it much better than the sidekick. it rolls really easy and used both quickcutz and sizzlets dies as well as acccuts slim dies well. I never did like the QK handle. It hurt my hand as ya'll using them, I don't knw how you have done it!! I think april was th eone that tolme that even those cushion things did not help much.

Anyhow Accucuts has some of the best customer service for their products that I found in this industry so far. i would highly recommend the Zaz to you since yo do most of your playig on the go - LOL!

I agree with your comments about customer service. When our Childcare Provider Lending Library decided to add some dies to the library for childcare providers to use I called them. We were only spending around $1,200 and they had a convention scheduled in Indianapolis they were attending a month later. They offered to do a training for us when they were in Indiana. Their training reps flew in a day early, rented a vehicle and drove down from Indy (3 hours) and did a training program on using the dies for the childcare providers in the area. All they asked us to do was reinburse them for the rental vehicle. It was great. Sandy

Good to know. The QK handle doesn't bother me all that much physically, I just want it to work!

Thanks for the review Dave. I did see via google that you like it, but it was a while ago and didn't know if you were still liking it. I have a $10 off coupon for scrapbookexpress.com so I might use it there. I think that will bring it down to about $25.00.
