Hawaii is Finished!

I have scanned my Hawaii 84 album and put it on my webshots account. I had such fun with this one! I used Google Maps to locate some of the places, and printed little graphics from websites (Bishop Museum, Haunama bay, Dole, etc). I even scanned my son's Hawaai shirt. I had kept a small diary, but it was kinda sparse. Combining the diary entries, photos, and present-day web sites in my research helped me reconstruct this trip and recover many memories.

Next will be pages for our first Cocker Spaniel!

Gina, I loved looking through your Hawaii album. It is amazing to see how much it has changed. When I came across a photo of the city and I could see trees, I almost fell out of my chair! You did a great job. It must has been an amazing place back then.

Nice work Gina. Great job with the journaling after all this time. I think I would have a hard time trying to remember everything.

Has it really changed that much? It was a gorgeous place, and I've always imagined that if (when) I go back it will look much the same. Vain hope?

Gina, You would be amazed at how different everything is. Hawaii is still beautiful and fantastic but it is becoming more difficult to find that natural beauty that was in your photos. Not to say Hawaii is a bad place, in fact I love it here, but it is not what everyone thinks it is.
