We had a wonderful time in Hawaii. We cruised the islands Feb. 3 - 10 and then spent four nights on Maui. I bought fabrics at "Sew Special" in Maui and I bought a Christmas wall-hanging and a flip-flop looking coin purse at another store. For the four quilters in my goup, I bought little sachet bags with a small Hawaiian applique on them. I also bought a stencil of the ti leaf design that I saw painted on squares at Wal mart. I don't do much applique, but I thought I could maybe do the painting thing. I also bought a Hawaiian Quilts calendar. I took a little hand stitching with me but never got it out. Instead I played cards with my husband and worked crossword and sudoku puzzles in my down times. We had lovely weather, although the week before that the cruise ships had to miss a couple scheduled stops due to storms. When we got home to Boise the weather was light rain and 45 degrees, so not too bad.
