Help!!!

Hi all, My grandparents 60th anniversary party is the 3rd week of September. I JUST received notice of this and was asked to put together a scrapbook for them. People will be sending me letters and photos to put in it, and all told I will wind up having only a few weeks to put this together. I'm pretty sure I can do it, but I'd like to do it "vintage" style. The only problem is that I've never done even ONE vintage page. DIY has a few page ideas, but I can't get TOO complicated, I've only got a few weeks to do the whole album. Any suggestions as to where I can go (on the web) for vintage page LO ideas? Also, I'd like to use some vellum, but have never used it before. Is there anywhere someone can point me to for more info on how to use vellum to enhance my pages? TIA for any help you can give me!!!! :-) Happy Scrapbooking, Lauren in MA

Lauren, Since it is a gift album, think about making it a 6x6 album or 7x7. It will make it easier on you. Stick with one color theme. Anna Griffin makes very pretty vintage looking papers that you could buy many patterns and colors that all fit into a single color theme. Also, the letters that people send you can retype and print it onto vellum so you can tie vellum into your theme. Hope this helps. Good luck, Jen

i've just done one for dh's granddad's 80th. don't really know if it is vintage style though. you'd have to ask shaz what she reckons it is. i'll try and upload some of the pages to my webshots account later this week.
