How do you use Embossing Pens?

I have some Rubber Stampede embossing pens of all colors but i dont know what to do with them..how do i use them and what do they do..? Have any of you used these? Are they good? I would appreciate all advice on them.. thanks ] Cathy

Cathy...I don't have these particular pens but they sound like other embossing pens...Zig Embossing pens, I think. You can freehand draw, write, use a ruler and edge with them, sprinkle with embossing powder, heat and voila! The pen I use for this is VersaMarker {clear} and coloured embossing powder. You could use colour of choice them clear or sparkly embossing powders. If I want a colour I use a colour glitter pen then embossing powder....works fine too!

I love my embossing pen to get color into just a few highlighted places.

It works just like the stamp pad but only in a smaller area.

You'll see that the interior of the card is embossed but just inside the letters. I used my embossing pen to do that. The pen is a good accessory if you only want to heat emboss a particular area. I can't live without it. Oh, a little trick I learned. Do you remember those pens back in the 1980's that you could write with and then erase. That is a good substitute if you can't find the pen.
