Pens

Hello all,

Hi, I have been lurking awhile and I was wondering if I could get some advice?

I want to do a bit of writing on my pages but I dont know what pens to use.I bought a Gelly Glaze pen but I dont know if its safe for my pages. What do I look for when I buy pens? What if I want to write on the picture itself?

thanks

Hi Piper,

The pen should be Acid & Ligin Free. I have Gelly pens and I try to write on cardstock then adhere it to the layout. Just to be safe.

Since I'm not sure if your pen is safe I'd write on a piece of vellum and then adhere it to the photo as opposed to writing directly on the photo itself.

I don't usually write directly on the photos..so I'm not sure there. I would suggest making a copy of the photo before you write on it so that you have an unaltered copy. I usually just use the acid free markers for my journaling.

Hope some of these tips will help you..

I use either regular gel pens or Pigma Micron Markers to journal when I write.

I use the acid free LePlume markers for my journaling and for coloring on pages.I have even used them on stamps. they are double tipped and work just great! just remember to store them lying flat, if you get some. Linda
