I spent all weekend cleaning!

Ok - so although I am very proud of my accomplishment... I'm also terribly embarrased by it!

I spent ALL WEEKEND cleaning out my scrapcloset!

See, while I was pregnant, it got to where I couldn't go up and down stairs much, so I would make one trip, get everything I wanted for several pages and I would scrap on the kitchen table downstairs (couldn't just stay up there cause it was so hot!). It annoyed DH, but he understood. Problem is, that instead of putting it all back when I was done, I'd get him to carry it up and put it on my table with the intent that I would go up later and straighten up... NEVER HAPPENED. I got irritated this weekend when I couldn't even walk in the door beacuse of all the piles.

So I cleaned house! I sorted everything into categories, organized them, put them in containers and put them where they belong. It took me 6 hrs this weekend. I am so worn out, but I can't wait to scrap in my room now. All I lack is finishing the organization of my stickers. They are all in stacks by size and type. I just have to get them in my PSB. That should be about another 30 minutes work and then another

30 minutes straightening my office and closet in general, but basically, I am done!

I am sharing this rant with ya'll cause you are the only people I know who can appreciate it!

WOW! Good for you! Of course we understand! :)

I know what you mean about the piles - that's all that my scraproom is right now! On the other hand, dh put up 4 big bookcases this weekend, so I can finally unpack all of my books from when we moved!!

That's a great accomplishment.

And I write this while taking a break from reorganizing my CIS Navigator! I'm trying to put *crop necessary* item in the Nav and leave space for the extras like specific punches, magazines, stamps, pads etc that will go in the Nav only for a crop. Basically anything that I'll need for a specific project. What this means is, of course, that I'll have to do really well planning ahead for crops but I'm pretty good about that.

Good for you ,Renee ! It really does make you feel so much better to have your scrapbook "stuff" organized. It is so easy to let it slide and next thing ....it's a mess. Hooray for you. Hugs,

Sabrina :-)

has flylady been buzzing about lately? i did some clean-up in my scrap area, too! actually found the scrap desk, and did a bit of organizing. i've realized that i've GOT to catch up soon, before that new neice or nephew comes! then i'll NEVER get caught up, i'm afraid! good for you!!! lori shay louisville

I don't know what's been buzzing about, but I just couldn't take it anymore. Besides, after I straightened up, I discovered I had a ton of stuff that had not been used yet. Sort of like going shopping without spending the money!

See that was me too. My room was the only one that still had not been completely unpacked yet. And might I add that it was a year ago Sunday that we moved in! Have fun organizing your shelves.

Well, good luck. I find staying organized is a monumnetal task in and of itself.

Wow. you go girl :) I cleaned up my scrap area this weekend too before I got sick. My scrap are is in the dining room. So it has to look a little presentable when people walk into our apartment because that's what they will see.

That;s why Bill wanted it kept neat when I kept bringing it downstairs. I scrapped on our kitchen table and that is where everyone congregates.

Renee >Wow. you go girl :) I cleaned up my scrap area this weekend too before I got

Oh, I agree. I find that I get *much* more scrapping done when I am organized. If everything is a mess, I'm just not motivated to work.

True! Its so hard to find things you know you have.

Well, I was so proud of myself and no one else seemed to understand what a big deal it was. So I figured you guys would get it.
