July's CCC by Lynne

I'm just not happy with these cards. I've been thinking and tweaking them for 2 weeks. Just finally decided to call it quits and move on. First I inked all the edges. No not happy. Then I added a bow tie to the Gingerbread man. No not happy. Then I removed the small red squares and used a corner punch on them and added the small green squares. No not happy. I picked out some eyelets, but where would I put them. I finally said enough is enough. I sure hope I feel like sending them to someone.

August here I come, Lynne

PS. I went to a stamp camp tonight and got a card idea for August. I even bought some retiring stamps to do them.

I liked what you did with the corner punch. I think they look fine. The only thing I can think of doing different would have been to punch a tiny heart in the gingerbread man and let the red underneath show through.

Lynne, I really like your card. I think the corner punching is great. It adds lots of detail, in my opinion. The gingerbread man is very cute.

Firstly, I just want to say that I'm having so much fun checking out everyone's cards! Thanks again for this challenge Lynne :)

I really truly think your card is looking great and that you are being too hard on yourself. It's unique - I've never seen anything like it I think you've been very creative in coming up with it! I love the olive green, brick red chocolate brown colour combo too. It looks nice and warm and catches the feeling of Gingerbread. TFS

I think it looks fine, Lynne. Maybe you've just stared and played with it too much. I know I can get that way. I think the card looks great, and the only thing I could see changing is try a mustardy yellow background instead of the green. I like Sandy's idea of the heart punch!
