Okay ladies, I figured out how to scan and stitch my 12x12 scrapbook pages together and have them uploaded to my webshots page. I found the stitch option in the photo software that came with my digital camera. Im not totally happy with the way it stitched them together because it kind of made a "bow tie" effect with my pictures and I had to crop them down to eliminate most of that. But they look pretty good. So, feel free to check them out!!
My first post said that when I stitched the two scans together it made a bow tie effect with my pictures but what I meant to say was bow tie effect on my pages. I have been up all night scanning my scrapbook and doing work on my website. And my brain has shut down. Guess I better go get some sleep...LOL
Happy Scrapping!!!

ORIGINAL POST Okay ladies, I figured out how to scan and stitch my 12x12 scrapbook pages together and have them uploaded to my webshots page. Ethan is my nephew. He is such a little ham! He's got a new baby sister who is shown on the one page with the kids and my sister and her hubby and my brother and his wife. I was going to do a birthday page for all of the kids but I dont have enough pictures from a single birthday party to use! We all use digital cameras now! So, I have been browsing the digital print sites looking for the free offers to get prints so I can make a page for each of the little ones! I will let you guys all know when I have another page uploaded.
Does anyone have any opinions or suggestions on the stitching of the scans? For some reason some of the pages really look "warped" or "bow tie" effect. I tried croping it out but it's gonna take too much of my page doing that. I have tried scanning the pages both horizontal and vertically. I was thinking that maybe I should get my old Flatbed scanner out. It has a longer scan surface on it, I think. But I dont know if that will help because it still wont be wide enough for my 12x12 page. Do they make scanners that will fit a 12x12 page? if so, that's what I'll be buying next! LOL
I know..I havent gotten into journaling yet. Although, I just did a Halloween 2page layout and I did put names under or around the pictures. I will get them scanned and posted. I may go back and add the names on the other pages too and rescan them.
Gina..You are doing a good job! I have only one thing to say about the journaling...you can add it at anytime. Sometimes ,the more you look at your work...things to say will come..... and you have lots of room on all your pages to add it whenever you get inspired ! I think journaling is something we all have to work on. I enjoyed looking at your layouts. You have a lovely family ! Hugs,
