My REAL Trip

Well I figure ya'll read about my new acquisition(s)!!! and how it really did make my trip.

When I got home of course checked the mail and OMG, I really tripped!! I at this point am not happy with Ebay or Paypal and not sure who is the most screwed up.

Back in September what the problem is, Ebay. You know those "buy it now" links. Well that is exactly what it means Buy it NOW!! Even when a seller says they will combine multiple items, the sorry ass system in Ebay issues a pay then and now. anyhow I bought 6 things from this seller.

I got my bank statement and guess how many charges I had? No not 6, but

  1. My account was taken from for each item and then the final amount was done twice. The money is now with paypal but guess what I have none where I need it. GRRR!!!

Paypal was pretty helpful and I have to say even very accommodating after I went off on the poor rep. They told me how to go and get my money transferred back to my bank account, but that does not help when I need it in there now as I have a couple overdraft transactions now to deal with - GRR.

So next came Ebay. I have emailed them and received confirmation back on that they have received my email. You can not find a phone number to call them anywhere. Anyhow the problem of this automatic billing is theirs and programmed into their system and from two days now of obviously no response, they do not care and are not going to change it.

So I am in a real pit at the moment, BUT, I have mY PAPER to wonder about, ogle, sort, organize and fantasize all over. At least it brings comforting feelings where the bank, Ebay and heck, money in general does NOT!! LOL!

Oh, I guess the question to this is has any of you had this problem, and did you get any help for it and if so how long did it take?

Dave, sorry to hear of your Ebay woes!! I had one problem with Ebay over the summer. I bought two items for about $20 bucks. The seller got my MO and cashed it, but never sent the items. This guy ripped of a bunch of people over a three month period and all ebay did was basically kick him off Ebay. I repeatedly emailed the guy, and he finally emailed me back saying his house caught fire, and was just now getting back to normal. I told him I didnt believe his story, as it had been two months, and he replied back "OK!" I never heard from him again.JERK! I did email some of his other victims and he gave them the same story, and still nothing for them either. I hope you get it all straightened out! :-)

I'm sitting here waiting on stuff I bought NOW at the end of SEPTEMBER. I've been in touch with the store several times and got another note Thursday updating me with the problem on their end. If it's not here by this next weekend, Thursday since Friday is a holiday, I'm going to Ebay and Paypal for my money back. I'm trying to be patient as I'm overseas and I understand the USPS more than I care to, and add in the military and it's even more FUBAR. BUT, I got a sob story for two months about a sax two years ago... I won't fall for silly stories again and again this time.

I've also another box from Ebay coming... early October I think. He says it mailed... must be on the slow boat to China twice before coming here. :X Maybe by Christmas as it's for my bed! LOL I need a new quilt... it's getting chilly here.

Then there's Sizzix... took over a month to mail my early October sale stuff. AND it has stuff BACKORDERED! Took two emails to get a response from them. "IT shipped today." Well, that wasn't right... it'd mailed earlier in the week according the box when it showed up this week. And Betty Crocker, too. I ordered some pans from there and am still waiting. The last I could get the site to track it had left Jersey... meaning it's now in the APO system. Joy oh joy!

Word to wise :D Mail parcel post to APO/FPO addresses by THIS THURSDAY! Priority needs to be in the mail between December 6 and 11 to arrive here in time :) Here in general LOL Not me specific :D
