Need an opinion on a scrapbooking desk lamp

I was browsing the Joann Fabrics website today for the sales this week, and they have desk lamps on sale at 40% off. I need a light for my craft desk that doesn't get too hot, doesn't take up a lot of room on the desk, and doesn't hurt my eyes by being too bright. There are so many to choose from! I found one that is a Daylight Table Top Lamp, and its less than $60, but I wanted to ask for some opinions on what everyone uses. This particular lamp has good reviews.( I dont know if this link will work...)

I have also heard good things about these lamps, and I can think of plenty of time that the magnifier would come in handy to have!

Personally, I just use a Reveal light bulb in a long arm extendable desk lamp that clamps to the corner of my table. I bought it at Staples for about $12. I like it because I can swing it or move it up, down, back or forward into any position I need. And it has about a 3 foot stretch, which is perfect for 2x4 foot table!

Hi Linda, I know my mother-in-law has one and uses it for cross-stitching. I myself would find it in the way.

Thanks Cindy. My desk is in the corner, and I wish I had somewhere to clamp one to! I don't want to take up too much desktop space either. The flexibility would be cool! I am going to have to see some of these other lamps in person before I decide. i really don't want to spend $60 on a lamp! Linda

Big Lots has the daylight floor lamps that are in my opinion just as good as the ott light and only cost 29.99. I bought one and I love it.
