New - Framed LO

Oct 10, 2004 18 Replies

My first framed LO and new technique embossing (hearts at top). Not to bad for a first.

We met Agnes 2 yrs ago and sort of adopted her. Agnes will turn 82 yrs young on Oct 18th. She doesn't drive and has a difficult time walking now. She has no one to look after her so we do what we can - grocery shop, take out the trash and pick up her mail. Check in on her and visit often. She's a hot ticket, a fun person to be with. She's into crafts and spends her day making "little" things for family and friends up north.

The LO is in my "Days of Our Lives" album and titled "Agnes".

Thanks for looking.

Isn't that so much pretier and expresive than just a picture. It's so pretty and what a great thing to have adopted a grandmother!

That turned out so nice Maureen!

So cool... We have a neighbor here like her and her name is Ruth.. or as we call her Ruthie.. LOL... she is a total sweetie and I have all her stories memorized (like the cows, the farm, winnie poo, etc.. LOL)... today she said that Martin and I were her favorite neighbors... (awww shucks)... she is ours too... Some of the best family is adopted eh?

Looks great!!! Love it.. Thanks for sharing.

how nice!! You are both benefiting from this special relationship. So sweet of you guys to help her out!

It is a beautiful lo Maureen. I bet Agnes will love it.

That looks awesome. I've never done a framed LO before. I'm might have to do one for my mother sometime.

Ok, Maureen.. I went and visited.. and I love your layouts!! and I must be having a lot of CRS... or senior moments.. but I cant remember where in Florida youare.. but did a doublet take when I saw the Silver Springs layouts and Ocala!! We are moving to Ocala... and stranger still, right now we live in CT!!! SO did I miss that about you before? that you used to live in CT? Sheesh I feel foolish.. LOL... fill me in, huh?? PuLeeze??? what a great layout Maureen. Very nice.. and I like the others one you had in there too. The Agnes one is very special though. Its great she has you to help her out. I hate to hear of someone being alone like that.

M-C - Agnes says we're her "Kids" so guess she'd be a Mom. She tells me every chance she gets that if she were 30 years younger she'd give me a run for my money on DL's affections!!!! I always respond with "You will would you, well you will have met your match and then some. I'd win hands done without a doubt! LOL!!! Poor DL he sits there and blushes!

Neets - I think we have done this before - I'm from Mystic, CT and Yes I do live in Ocala - On the SW side of the city. I believe you said you were building on the East side of the city near the Shores. Right? I think you said the move would be summer of 2005.

Thanks to all for all the sweet compliments. I will be sure to tell Agnes she was the topic of discuss in the group this week.

And Ronni - you're right sometimes the adopted ones are better then those of "blood".

Maureen.. thanks for the refresher course!! yes, you have all the facts straight.. and we now have word that all finances are accepted and ground breaking should be in Nov or Dec. I am so excited. I have met (online) another gal online who scraps and makes cards, and a friend in Gainesville that I met when we went to seek housing.

Any scrapbooking stores close by? And any CM consultants? I use a lot of CM products. Thanks.. hugs Neets

Beautiful layout Maureen.
