New Years Scrap Resolutions

Just curious what everyones scrapbooking related resolutions were.....

Mine is to use up some of my scraps, I have so much bits of paper and partial sticker sheets and so on. I also want to finish my Vegas album and get started on a dance album for my DD.

I would just like to find time to get some scrapbooking done. I probably did a whole 5 pages this last year. I'm so far behind it's not funny.

My goals:

1)At least one layout a week 2)Use up my stash (well at least part of it..hehe) 3)Make Christmas cards early (LOL! cause I only made 4 this year) 4)Finish my 2004 Christmas/Snow Album

Now that it written out I better print it out and post in my scrap area!

Best wishes to everyone on their New Years Resolutions.

I didn't set any scrapping goals for myself last year... and I don't really even know how much I got done (but looking at my photo folders it seems that I did a LOT!)

My goal for this year is to be frugal, thrifty and efficient... I've improved a lot, but I need to do more. Just because something is on sale that doesn't mean I need to buy it.

I'm also longing to fix up the scrap room to make it a comfortable guest room as well as a working space. I want to have my stuff on one side of the room and a futon/side table etc on the other, so that my parents (or my mother anyway) can come and visit.

Tammie, not sure what my scrapping resolutions are...so I'll do this on the fly. To make as many cards as I did last year to send to our troops over in Afganistan and Iraq; to scrap current pictures, as the events take place; to complete DS #1 album from his trip to Guatamala last spring break (before he goes again! lol ) That should be enough to keep me busy!

I just resolve to get something done. I've been making cards and lots of atc's as well as some altered items but barely any scrapping.

I'm with Tammie and Karen, I would like to use more of my scraps on my pages. Hopefully I can find some time to scrap soon as my signature looks kind of sad with all those zeros!

My 2007 resolution is to complete two LO's a week, complete both DD's wedding albums, and decorate paint cans for younger DD and DS for their scouting memories. Sandy

My 2007 resolutions are:

  1. To find more time to scrapbook, trying for at least 4 layouts a month. Would like one a week, but that may not be as easy.

  1. To organize my stash better so that I know what I have.

  2. To use my stamps and ink pads more on pages as well as cards (got lots invested in those puppies)

  1. To make a stash of birthday and anniversary cards so I'm not scrounging for them when I need one.

  2. To finish my wedding album.

Like Tammy said...I better print these out now...lol!

I want to get more cards made up ahead of time so I will have one when I need it. I would like to set aside more ME time for scrapping, at least one day or evening a week. I want to go to a scrapbook retreat with my friend Barb this year, or at least a whole day of cropping somewhere. Get my christmas cards done WAY ahead..I waited too long this year, made 20, but didnt have time to take pics of them, and I only gave them to my friends at work, and SS. I didnt mail any out! :-( Finish the 4 identical heritage albums for my sisters and I.

Well, I'm going to try scrapping resolutions again. Failed miserably last year, I think. LOL

  1. Finish 1 LO a week. (Done that so far..woohoo!)
  2. Complete our Mexico trip album before we go again this year.
  3. Complete our wedding album before our 10th anniversary in May.

That should keep me busy, especially considering our anniversary at teh end of May and our Mexico trip in either June or July. LOL

Oh yeah...I'm with Tammy...."Make Christmas cards early". DH said I should do 2 Christmas cards a week. LOL

Actually your DH has a good point! If you make 2 a week then when it comes time for Christmas you could have 100 done. I have started making cards, using up my scraps as soon as I finish a project. For example: we gave a number of gift certificates this year so instead of just putting them in a box I put them in the can that you taught us @ Stamp Camp and of course I had to decorate the outside of the can. I made nearly a dozen cards when I finished using up all the scraps from that project (keep in mind that I made

8 cans). I'm doing that to try to keep from acquiring such a mass scraps, hopefully I will be able to use up some of those as well! (wondering if Deb knows that if one rolls up a man's large t-shirt tight enough it will fit in a pinapple can! I used super glue and prayed I didn't glue the shirt to the can! LOL)

That's what DH said, that I could easily have 100 done by Christmas. Of course, I'm doing cards this week, but they haven't been Christmas cards. LOL

A large t-shirt in a pineapple can??? You mean the small pineapple cans, or the larger ones? How the heck did you manage that? A man's thong, bikini undies, or even boxers I can see fitting in those small cans, but a t-shirt....can't see that. You are the woman! LOL

the larger pineapple can. It was rolled REALLY tight! I had to reroll it several times just to make it the correct size.
