Re: scrap stuff on QVC

I watched that last night too. Yeah it's odd to me. But I love lot of their stuffs on QVC (I didn't buy anything either). They will come back on Saturday (forgot what time they will be on tho). I will be watching on Saturday and might buy few things for christmas gifts (I already got some christmas presents wrap up for my husband & my 4 1/2 yrs old son).

Last night, I was awake in the middle of the night, and I turned on the tv. > Flipping through the channels, I came across QVC. They were having this > whole hour of scrapbooking stuff! I have loads of scrapbooking stuff because I liked to make cards for special occasions. I was getting really prepared to start my scrapbooking and to this date I haven't started yet. I have over 200 punches, loads of papers, templates, cutting systems, diecuts, stickers, embellishments, etc...........I feel like a store I have so much stuff...it is getting the time to do it in between hubby, son, animals and painting walls in my house with scenes on each of them.....i just need to find the time to actually sit down and do it. I wished I had someone near that did this kinda stuff.... I am in Shamrock, Texas and I think noone in town here does this kinda stuff!!!

Thanks exactly it. I was so excited and bought the stuff, but once home looking at it I didn't know where to start. It doesn't help that I'm really anal about pictures being in chronological order too. I'm slowly getting over that and doing whole layouts when I find all the pictures and putting them in order later.

LOL Lynn!!! I do the same thing!! I finally just started doing layouts one right after another. I am getting a lot done but they are completely out of order. I just finished 4 Renaissance Faire pages and put them in the book only to realize that Ren. Faire was months ago and I've got other more recent stuff before that! I don't know what my problem is! star2fire

Lynne I just do them as they strike me. Then I'll file them into books later:>) I have a "work book" that I keep them in as I finish them. One of these days I'll sort them into other books:>)

Hi there! I just started reading the group :-D Usually I am on rec.crafts.textiles.needlework. I thought I would get into scrapbooking and bought some very nice papers and cardstock. Unfortunately, I never got around to doing much with them. My family hasn't been on a vacation and nothing too exciting was going on :-)

I moved out of my parents house and now that I have a house of my own I find that there is SO much to document.

I also have a tub of fabric, even though I don't sew. When Crafts Canada was going out of business in my city, they had some deals that were too great to pass up. I guess I'm just a craft hoarder :-)

Best, Christine

Creative memories will be on QVC Saturday at 1am, that is friday night to all us night dwellers. It is also on eastern time here I am not sure what time it would be where everyone else is.

Hi Christine, I believe I know you from RCTN. I have been on that group for ages. I love to do antique reproduction samplers. The thing I find that I really love about scrapping is that I can finish something in a night. The samplers I have done all took me, like, 6 months or something. With scrapbooking, I find that I have a finished product to look at and enjoy rather quickly. I haven't been on RCTN for awhile in fact. To be truthful, I am ashamed to admit that my last sampler is hanging unfinished on it's skyhooks in the closet!! star2fire

Hi Christine:>)

Welcome to a great friendly group:>)

I used to go to RCTN too , but left for pretty much the same reason months ago. Checked back a few times & it was the same old same old:>(

This is a much nicer group of people:>) Enjoy:>)

This is a very addicting hobby:>) It's amazing what you can scrapbook! I did a 2 page LO of seaguls in Macdonalds parking lot!!(How sick is that!!)(LOL)

Funny what catches our attention, isn't it? Someday, you might sew though:>)

I'm also boycotting that n/g. I refuse to spend my time where there is more contention and hateful talk than ON topic!...

I love this group, (I've been lurking, and you're all very nice)...and RCTQ...

anybody know of any good genealogy n/g or bulletin boards? :)
