Anyone here ever done anything in a half 8.5x11 (5.5x8.5) size? Or have you seen a source somewhere for 3-ring toploading sheet protectors that size & binders (view binders would be perfect) to go with them?

Alicia, s.e.i. makes an 8.5 x 5.5 album. Don't know exactly what you are looking for. It is part of their "The Preservation Series" and contains 10 page protectors. Don't know the price as I got it as part of a Pine Cone Press Kit, but it has room for lots of refills, so I know they sell them. The page protectors are side load (inside edge) and the album is put together witht he bar type paper fasteners - you know like the ones they use in doctor's files at the top of the pages with two holes. the little tag on it says

I bought some 5.5 x 8.5 protectors at my "Bureau en gros" store.... it's the Quebec equivalent of "Business Depot" I think! You ask to see the catalog, it's in there... I think it was a box of 25 or 30? (maybe more), but I do not remember the price. For the album, I bought a small 3 rings photo album and I pulled out the pages to put the protectors, because the protectors would exceed on the margin of a regular 5.5 x 8.5 binder. I did a recipe scrapbook album for my mother in law 1.5 years ago with it!

Will have to try the SEI link again later, tho. Can get to the albums page, but it only shows 1 page of 12x12 albums & when you click on "next" it loads a blank page.
Thanks for the suggestion, Elise. You're right. I have the same problem with 8.5x11 pages/binders; the sheet protectors hang out of the right side of the binder unless I pay for the more expensive, extra wide ones.
