OT Book Request

I am so excited that so many of you enjoy Anne Rice! I normally get some pretty strange looks when I say I read her books. I guess people have a preconceived notion of how someone who reads her should look, and I don't fit that mold. I have read her since high school and always look forward to her newest addition. Thanks to my hubby I have all of her books.

Azzy,

When "Servant of the Bones" was released, I went to a booksigning in St. Louis. The place was packed with people of every type and age, from the younger crowd (about half were dressed like vampires and witches), to people in business suits, all the way up to the grandma and grandpas. I was truly amazed at the diversity of people that Anne Rice attracts.

Azzy, I, too, have all of her books. I especially like the ones about early New Orleans. I think she is a very prolific writer and I feel as if her characters are real. i am not surprised that so many of us are avid readers. And it seems we like the same authors.

I'll pretty much read anything with words! lol. My favorites are lawyer type books (Grisham, O'Shaunnesy, etc). I also love cheesy romance, Nora Roberts and really got into the whole In Death series by JD Robb (who is really nora roberts). I also like the occasional mystery, as long as it's not too deep. I tend to read for relaxation, so I don't like to have to think too much! hehe Let's see...James Patterson, Stuart Woods...

Well, it wouldn't be so bad if you didn;t have to wait 2-3 years betwen books. Tell ya what. When he completes it, I'll let ya know and you can read straight through. ;-) (Assuming he finishes it!)

Her characters do seem so real. They get inside you. I am always so sad as I read the last page of a book of hers...I feel as if I am saying goodbye to a friend. I have never read another author that does that to me. her characters become part of you!
