OT: Got my lerners permit

So I went to the driving place today to change the address on my Florida state ID and I was asking questions about the driving test. I told the lady that I had gotten a lerners permit in Ohio back in 95 and she said that if I still had that then I could bring that in and I wouldn't have to take the 4 hour drug and alcohol class or take the written test. So I came home and what do you know I found the lerners permit :) So I went back there and she looked at it and I got my lerners permit. I could have taken the driving test today, but I wasn't ready and all we had was my mom's van and I want to take it in our new car or my MIL's car. Much smaller :) So I just had to share my good news!!

Thank you Cathy! That's what I'm going to do :) From what I'm reading it seems like it's going to be easier here in Florida. Of course that's what everyone has been telling me :)

and I'm quite sure the first place you are going to drive to with your new DRIVER'S license is to the nearest scrapbook store to celebrate.

Good luck Tabby, a good friend of mine just got her drivers license at age

58 and now she is wondering why she waited so long to learn to drive!

Thank you Kate! Well, once I get the official license maybe :) Right now I have to have a licensed driver.

*hit in the head*

I know that once I get my license that a whole new world is going to open up. For one I won't have to rely on anyone anymore. With 2 girls it's difficult.

My oldest daughter was so excited she was telling everyone :) So I think she'll be happy once I get the official license and be able to drive her around. Just her and mommy go to the store :)

hy! That's what I'm going to do :) From what I'm reading

Thank you Jessica! I'm not going to rush it, but I'm hoping to have the official license by the time Abby goes back to school next year for 1st grade. She'll be riding a bus, but if I need to go and get it I can :)

Thank you Luna! Oh wow!! I know you have to put your speed up to at least 20 and then come to a complete safe stop, a 3 point turnaround, back up for about 50 ft or so, drive into a parking space and use the turn signals.. I think that's it.. I just want to practice the backing up and the 3 pt turnaround.
