OT: Health Update (spilled the beans)

HI.

Larry and I have been checking my "plumbing" because we have been wanting to try for a baby for awhile but due to "problems." it has been hard.

So I've been going to a bunch of "plumbing" doctors since I'm turning the big 4-0 in three weeks. In doing so we found a 4 cm lump in my right breast and I need a biopsy since the needle didn't draw any liquid like the other three that was found in the left one.

In addition it seems if we want a baby we need to go to an IVF doctor as it won't happen any other way.

So I have to thank Cathy for the swap as it helped while waiting in doctor's offices and the darn computer for the digital scrapbooking programs.

Other than that we are fine. House hunting is on hold until we figure out what we are going to do next. It is also why I've been kinda quiet.

Hugs, Kate

Sounds pretty heavy to me love! ((((HUGS))) hope all goes well for you during this difficult time. Waiting is the worst but God will help you through anything if you let Him! Barb:o)

Hang in there Kate. We are all here to support you. Good luck and I will be hoping for the best for you and Larry! Linda

I'm sure things will work out just fine. God will help you make the right choices. Good luck with the biopsy.

Hugs Shannon

Kate, I'll be thinking of you. hang in there.....

Sandy

You're in my thoughts and prayers Kate. Hang in there I'm sure everything will be fine. It's the waiting that is the difficult.

Kate so glad i was able to take your mind off of this for a bit..every distraction helps in times like this..you hang in there my sister had the problem and she thought it would never happen for them and then one day it did. my prayers are with you.. hugs....chatty

Pregnancy mentioned:

(((((Kate))))))

Prayers and best wishes to you that you only have fibrocystic breasts like me (very dense tissue but not cancerous) and that your quest for a child with fertility treatment will be uncomplicated. Glad they caught the lump so you can have it checked out!!

I have been dealing with fertility issues basically since I got married in '94. My daughter Maya was the result of our third IVF in 2000 (I was

39 when I had her)--the twins I am pregnant with now are the result of IVF #6...I am 46 now and although categorized as 'high risk' am doing very well. :-) If you have ANY questions please feel free to ask me! Pretty much anything, I lost my modesty during the whole ordeal a while back.

Take care, Carolyne in TX

You are one tough lady - I know you'll make it through this too.

Prayers and thoughts with you during this tough time.

My wonderful cousin was an IVF baby, one of the first, in 1988, my aunt was 39 at the time.

Keep us posted,

Jessica

This is just a suggestion, I've heard it from a dr's office that I go to, chiropractic. This lady had been trying for a long long time to get pregnant and couldn't. For some reason, she must've hurt her back or something, but for some reason went to this chiropractor in a different town and was getting weekly adjustments and after a few months she got pregnant. Have you, or are you getting spine adjustments? If there is any part of your spine, especially the lower parts that are not in alignment and are pinching nerves, what ever organ that nerve is attached to is not getting the proper flow of blood etc that it needs and is dying. Can't hurt to get it checked out. Get an x-ray and find one that also does the nerve conduction test. That way they can tell you if your nerves are working properly and if your spine and neck are ok. Like I said, this is a suggestion, can't hurt. Tammy in IL

{{{{HUGS}}}} Kate. My thoughts and prayers are with you for good results of the biopsy and the IVF.

I agree with tammy on chiropractors - I love mine!

Kate, {{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}

You will be in my thoughts. My friend had to have IVF for her first child after having three miscarriages but then naturally got pregnant with her second. Miracles do happen, Kate. I am hoping for one for you too.

Crystal

HI All,

I do have a chiropractor but mostly for my neck due to "secretarial strain."

It is more of a biological issue -- estrogen, protestrion, protracton

-- are out of wack.

It is probably a matter of getting hormons into me. But we are looking for a GHI taking IVF doctor.

I love you guys and thanks.

Kate

Kate (((hugz))) Keeping you in my thoughts over your current health concerns. Like Carolyne I suffer from fibrocystic breasts and have had a mixture of problems over the years....cysts that yield fluid and fibroadenoma in both breasts that don't....but are benign. Take care, Marilyn

My cousin conceived her first child via IVF and then they adopted their two other daughters from China. It took them 4 times to get pregnant so don't get discouraged if it doesn't happen right away.

Oh my Kate! You have had so much on your plate! I will keep you and Larry in my prayers. You know that we are always here for you!

Big hugs, M-C
